I officially didn't give a fukk about the World Junior team after they didn't even invite Darnell Nurse to even try out. 6'5, drafted in the top 10 last summer yet he doesn't make the team and they take a bunch of undrafted 17 year olds.
Its like this im sure for most of us,id cheer for them if PK was a mediocre player who didnt deserve to be on the team,since hes no less than a top 3 d-man on this team i will only cheer for em as long as hes on the team and plays....I still may not cheer for em if he just sits on the bench or takes 1 shift a game in favor of bums like Bouwmeester and Vlasic who should in no way ever be higher than him on any team depth chart...
This aint over for me yet,PK cant just be there as a cheerleader..fck that as the defending norris winner and 2nd highest scoring d man in the league with a +15 he needs to play a signifigant role and show what he can do at this level and play on the PP before im fully committed to cheering for anything....I still kinda look at this as almost a token gesture like "ok we took him we picked him you happy now ? He aint gonna play tho"
