Why and what happened that made you lose 'em?

You must be new here but imgur fukked alot of us over they had basically started charging i think to host smileys and at one time that was the go too site that most of us had our smileys saved at...so when that happened we had a few weeks to save em or watever i was busy as hell so i never backed my sh!ts up...now im just a default smiley user but i was nice wit them joints B

Relatively new, but I remember hearing some sort of rumbling about not being able to use IMGUR any more to some extent but i figured that was for straight up gifs and pics. You never saved your smileys on your computer before you uploaded 'em? I mean I'm whittling my shyts and sanding 'em down in terms of creating my janky shyt but before I upload it I've got EVERY one saved in my smiley folder for future editing, reference and touch ups.

Quick question though, when you making your smileys, what tools do you use?
I've gotten a bit better at removing the edges of the background instead of trying to do a free hand trace of the target's head'n'shyt, but I feel like I should be doing more than just whittling away the edges and saving it.
