This happened in Toronto? They do the tipping bullshyt up there too?

If you not automatically adding gratuity, I tip what I want based on service.
Ive had servers not offer water, will come to the table once, will take forever to bring check after meal is complete.
Them people get left change.

I would’ve just walked out. There’s no such thing as mandatory tip. Even in restaurants that have “gratuity included”. If you tell the server to take it off, they have to take it off. As long as you pay for the food, you’re good.
This happened to me and my 2 homegirls before. This service was not good, we only saw the waitress twice. Once when she took the order, once when she bought our food. We had to flag down someone else to get refills, utensils, napkins. We still were nice enough to leave a $20 tip that she didn’t deserve. bytch had the nerve to try and stop us and say “Y’all are shorting me $30 because the suggested tip says $46”
bytch, How can we short you a SUGGESTED tip? You didn’t even earn the 20 we gave you. We should’ve taken it back.
Ended up writing a bad review on yelp, the manager contacted me and invited us all back for a free meal.

Anytime I go out even if the service was eh I always tip good, because I know how it feels to not have shyt after a night of cleaning tables and washing dishes
