So that answers the question of why the whistleblowers came to Pablo. I could never figure out the motive behind exposing all of this but it makes sense that they put the information out there, let reporters do the digging and then they get to follow by filing a lawsuit.

That's why he was so confident, for all we know they might've come to him to build the case for them with lawyers walking him through everything they needed

They always take the side of the celebrities/rich people over basic common sense and principles
Just seen Boogie Cousins of all people talking about Ja Morant being in the right because his coach is a "military coach" (aka a regular boss asking for professionalism
) and that type of coaching has no place in the league, because players have talent....... 
It's crazy how the Internet basically forced good journalism to fade away and be replaced with dumbass personalities that are controlling the narratives in media

But the whistleblowers (that we know of) were the former employees of the company- not the former investors of Aspiration who are now suing.
Now, the lawsuit itself is shaky b/c you have to prove they were compelled under false pretenses to invest in this company specifically by Ballmer and, from what Pablo's dug up, it's likely they'll only find that Ballmer paid Kawhi through the company and didn't recruit investors to pay on his behalf. It's likely they're doing this just because Ballmer has bank and they're hoping he'll settle than deal with a trial and they'll make a little back of what they lost in their Aspiration investments.
The most interesting thing in this lawsuit would be it going to discovery and finding out what discussions/texts/emails/etc... happened around these very suspect circumstantial payments...

Its really an indictment of the sports media that they all just yawned about Ballmer subverting the cap and making illegal payments. Obviously Silver deserves it too. This is really a mess.
