They buried a lot of ledes here.

Balmer sent 50 mil to Aspiration by way of two payments, one 20m, one 30 mil, which is conveniently right at the 28m amount Aspiration then paid Kawhi.

That’s the bottom line up front

Pablo Torre is on a heater, but he is going to fall hard on his face. No doubt. You can see it, the attention is getting to him.

About this allegation, I’m actually 70/30. I don’t think it’s crazy to assume Uncle Dennis was the one who made this deal, especially considering how he operated in Kawhi’s FA. I do think Aspiration had incentive to keep Kawhi in LA. Of course the money paid to Kawhi for that is legit insane, hence why Im leaning towards Balmer/Lawrence Frank being the ones who constructed this. But 2 big time fraudsters and a money hungry Uncle has me thinking.. you never know.

I mean, even before PTFO Pablo was never humble. I've always respected him, but he has always had smug Harvard douche energy.

Never forget: the commissioner works for the owners

So I just roll my eyes at all of this because yes Pablo’s work was great but Silver’s weak ass surely knew how all of this goes down. Owners probably talk to him like the help

The league does a FANTASTIC job at presenting the illusion that the commisioner is the law and order and has authority over owners when in actuality he has none

Other execs are pissed and the league does not need direct evidence to punish them. The CBA states circumstantial evidence is proof in cap circumvention. Team sponsors must also offer fair market value to players for endorsements. Kawhi deal was well beyond fair market value.

Edit: Yea they REALLY buried some shyt. They waited til the last 10 minutes to get to the most scandalous part. The former CEO is now in politics and this has the possibility to be weaponized in the next election, and to shyt on the entire premise of climate change and climate change orgs. This investigation alone will kill any usage of ‘project 29’

My Father in Heaven
This dude was not worth all this lol
Yes he was, landing Kawhi off that Toronto chip was the momentum Ballmer needed to get intuit built- AND he owns the land UNDER the arena- meaning if the nba forces him to sell (they won’t obviously) HES STILL MAKING THE BREAD- they can’t do nothing to him now.

It's why the Millennial LGBT version of PTI with him and Bomani failed. Nobody wanna watch two smug c*nts, Pablo has gotten better though. I think that failure has humbled him a bit

Nobody want Ballmer to sell. Dude has mad bread and is probably going to be in the luxury tax as long as he owns the team. They just want him around to pay taxes and fines so everybody else makes bread off him. This stunt cost the other teams money.

Agreed. The point was that Amin will lose all connections going forward. He can rely on past knowledge now. Players are unlikely to trust him. Just to get a rep.
Why do you keep making this about Amin and his connections? Them connection probably dont mean shyt to him. Also did you actually watch the episode? Amin legit just reading documents Pablo gave him. He had no hand in helping Pablo get intel in this story. He didnt even know what was on the documents until he read it.

Maybe he's referencing the possible fallout from the more substantial reporting Amin's done for Pablo coming back on him now that the show's bigger...

I haven't kept up with this story. Did Balmer own Aspiration? Or was he just a seed investor? What was the company worth and what did Balmers stake represent? It sounds to me that this company was a fraudulent company. Did Kawhi receive any money at all? How would they have paid Kawhi if it was a fraudulent company? These answers are very important before I pass judgement.

I find it super hard to believe that a player of Kawhis statue who has made hundreds of millions from salary and endorsements would jeopardize his image over 30 million. If he really wanted to do this he could have went a step further and made his handlers not his uncle per say sign bogus deals with companies Balmer has influence over. This is a huge grey area and I'm sure it happens a lot more than what we hear or see.

Take some time to watch the reporting from Pablo before commenting. Everything is pretty much explained and laid out.
