both of them nikkas were still leveling up. Their last works was of the best material of their careers and they still had so much room for improvement. Pac' s technical abilities were infinitely better than when he came out. Biggie was becoming more lyrical instead of using his flow and cadence as a crutch. we missed out on so many classic records

And that's the scary part, both Pac and Biggie was lyrically getting better.

Biggie must of picked up a book when he was injured and bed ridden from his accident because his vocabulary expanded greatly

And Pac was on his way to be to me the truly first Complete Emcee, he finally mixed his great poetry skills with linguistic wordplay on Makaveli on the album cuts he wanted to spit the most venom, I was like

pac was 100% in his prime. all you have to do is listen to what came before those three albums.

Pac wasn't in no damn prime.Pac was a man of the times.Tapped into the sphere of black/human consciousness.A humanist at heart.

His music would've stayed evolving.Imagine a post 9/11/Trayvon Martin Pac?

You know he would've came with some heat.On top of that.

Pac was rushing through albums on Death Row.He never took the time to focus

his best efforts.All Eyez On Me in 2 weeks......Makaveli in 3 days.......

Just imagine if he took the time to actually focus/conceptualize a album?

It's funny.If you surveyed the planet, All Eyez On Me or Makaveli

would probably win GOAT rap album of all time.

I think rap was .....too easy for the nicca.


And despite how passionate he sounded in the booth, we never got his best efforts.

Listening to his verse on All Out, I think Pac was entering his prime before he died. That was the most lyrical I ever heard him.

I think the same goes for Biggie too. He was amazing on Victory.

I honestly felt Biggie didn't quite reach his "Prime". Prime is about the 5 year mark after your 1st LP. Like MJ didn't win his first title till like the 5-6 year mark. Like Adult MJ prime wasn't "Off The Wall", it was "Thriller" and "Bad". Big was at the "Beginning", that's why he's ranked so high, he was Legendary so early that it felt like he was in his Prime. Jay even said, "I'm focal point like Biggie in his Prime". Pac was closer to his Prime at that time than Big was but I agree he hadn't reached his yet either. "All Eyez On Me" was his 4th LP and he was working on "Makaveli". "Born Again" Triple LP was going to be Biggie's Prime LP. But to your point yes it's still mindblowing how Epic the Big/Pac era was. That's why it remains the biggest tragedy in Hip Hop History. You can literally trace Hip Hop Before Pac and Big's Death and After. It's two Different Hip Hop Worlds. It's interesting looking back at everything 20 year later and reflecting about what we lost.

Biggie made the turning point to me when he was recording the 2nd disc of LAD around that time they was recording No Way Out for Puffy, actually it was a Continuation. Because lyrically the 2nd disc of LAD is some of Biggie best lyrically display ever

And me being a student of Hip Hop and Emcee, all the great emcees are missing one or two things making them to be a truly complete Emcee
