Is there a reason why you would not want to understand what a rapper was talking about? Do you want hieroglyphics or some shyt you understand?

You going to listen to someone rapping in Mandarin, and be like :ohlawd:

I didn't understand shyt they said, BUT THAT WAS HARD.

I wouldn't say 'simpletons'. But his music was far more accessible than the average rapper. It had that RnB-ish feel that made it easier to digest with casuals and non-hip hop fans. Then you add his semi-basic rhymes and it was a go.

As a writer, Pac was good (@lucky lefty). Wouldn't give him any more than that.

What I mean is you could always understand wtf he was talking about. He never had any crazy metaphors or similes or sh1t like that it was all really straightforward so it appealed to a lot of people
There's many other straight forward rappers, that didnt appeal as much as pac so......

there's simple rappers who rap ABC rhymes and don't have the appeal of Pac.

The genius of songwriting is saying something SIMPLE, in a way in which nobody else has or can.
