You're basing your argument off of bone in the past, you're right. I'm basing it off of 1997 1998 and beyond. First of the month was a bigger hit than anything big did before 1997. And bone was a gimmick. But, you haven't answered my question.

That's because Biggie died. You know dead rappers get better promotion :mjpls:

Plus Bone just became a clusterfukk of unorganized chaos once Eazy died :snoop:

To be honest with y'all. Comparing bone to big is like comparing designer to future. But I was a pretty big bone fan so I can't hate. But y'all still ain't answer my question:russ:

What he's saying is that Bone Thugs stole Biggie's style and ran with it :usure:

No? :leon:

Okay, what he's saying is that Bigge has been around a lot longer but hasn't gotten a #1 record and Bone THugs did with their first record :manny:

no?

What he's saying is that he has a double digit IQ

More than likely, designer is a gimmick. He'll be gone as fast as he came (but I'm rooting for him). I think future will be felt for a longer period of time.

You might be right about that. For some reason their hits resonated with people that didn't listen to hip hop. Kinda like coolio

yeah one of my coworkers at a bar i used to work at was a drummer for a death metal band, he knew next to nothing about hip hop, but he fukked with the bone thugs heavy af

No one was waaaay bigger than Biggie at that point, or Pac.

:what: there were plenty of rappers as big or bigger than Pac & BIG in that 94-96/97 period. Pac didn't become the multi platinum we know today until AEOM, Biggie didn't blow up super crazy until after his death. Wu-Tang as a whole but specifically Method Man were on the same level, Bone Thugs were bigger, Snoop of course was the biggest solo rapper on earth in that time frame, Coolio, Cypress Hill were probably on that level or near it just because of the weed head crossover appeal. people look back now & assume Pac & BIG must have been the only ones on top but there were lots of acts that were on that same level or even bigger at the time

People forget that rap wasn't as mainstream in the 90s as it is now. With people who's favorite genre was hip hop pac and biggie we're as big as anybody. The grunge heads would've known of them due their beef but if you asked them to recite the chorus to their favorite rap song they woulda busted out crossroads, baby got back, gangstas paradise, or fantastic voyage.
