THERES SO MUCH WRONG WITH THIS POST.
people were looking at bone as another crucial conflict?
Bone was never bigger then BIG
between 93-97 only rappers that's even really in the convo as far as popularity
Method Man
2 Pac
and that's it.
for as big as 1st of the month and thuggish ruggish was it wasn't till crossroads
when Bone Thugs really blew-up till 96. some ppl was till looking at them as another
crucial conflict till crossroads came and took them to the next level
By this time B.I.G. was easily the Biggest artist in the game
ehh bone was arguably bigger than biggie.
Before biggie died,Bone had Two 4x's platinum albums
RTD was at 2 mil when biggie died
Coastal bias brehNa im old enough to remember the time
They weren't bigger then big
They were more of a wu tang level
No one was actually "bigger" then big
Him and pac were the 2 main guys for obv reasons
And speaking of wu tang
Meth was bigger then bone alone
THERES SO MUCH WRONG WITH THIS POST.
people were looking at bone as another crucial conflict? IT WAS THE OTHER WAY AROUND. crucial conflict was looked at as another bone thugs!!!! and you mention crossroads. that songs was #1 on the charts before crucial conflict 1st video even dropped. and crucial's highest selling album only went gold.
bone thug "really blew" out the gate. their 1st video broke the box' record for most-requests and the EP sold 3 or 4 mil.
bone was already arguably the biggest act out before crossroads. even the source has them listed as the #1 rap act of 1995. crossroads didn't even exist. meanwhile. the original e.99 etermal album had them nominated for Grammys, AMAs, soul train, billboard, etc awards before they even recorded crossroads.
and wheres dr dre & snoop doggy dogg in your post?
The EP did not sell 3 or 4 mill dog , stop it. Lol.
Bone and Crucial Conflict came out around the same time
there were plenty of rappers as big or bigger than Pac & BIG in that 94-96/97 period. Pac didn't become the multi platinum we know today until AEOM, Biggie didn't blow up super crazy until after his death. Wu-Tang as a whole but specifically Method Man were on the same level, Bone Thugs were bigger, Snoop of course was the biggest solo rapper on earth in that time frame, Coolio, Cypress Hill were probably on that level or near it just because of the weed head crossover appeal. people look back now & assume Pac & BIG must have been the only ones on top but there were lots of acts that were on that same level or even bigger at the time

AEOM won every award known to man across all forums, went gold in two weeks and quintuple platinum in 2 months, all of this BEFORE Pac died, f*ck outta here![]()
you Pac stans will believe anything. last i heard it went platinum before the first day was over. it didn't win many awards, no grammys, no Source awards or anything, it didn't even get any mics in the Source when it came out!? it didn't even get a review in The Source mainly due to them not getting an advance copy but i don't remember them doing a posthumous review either
