This letting go of coaches and them not getting another shot is some shyt that has to stop since most of them are black and don't really get a fair shake as it is. Dwane Casey had 3 straight 50 win seasons and his reward was a firing and now a rebuilding job with the Pistons. And while i admit Nate ain't the greatest coach ever and his ceiling seems to be first round and out but the man has got 3 50 win seasons on his resume and had to wait like 4 or 5 years just to get the Pacers job and now look what happens to him. Mark Jackson hasn't coached in like 6 years and you telling me that a young team couldn't use someone like him considering he basically started the Warriors on the run they went on or at least plant the seeds for them to be able to do so. Can't even say it's the same old thing of them just hiring old retread coaches cause their are a lot of new younger coaches in the league it's just not a lot of brothers on the sidelines. A cat like Tyron Lue has a ring yet he has to be an assistant coach at the moment in order to have a job. Younger cats like David Vanterpool and Stephen Silas can't get a job but Luke Walton stays employed and has never even sniffed the playoffs.

The Nets would be the LAST team to consider McMillan. They've been one of the highest volume 3-pt shooting teams over the last half a decade, and they want to continue heading in that direction. They're not going to go after a coach whose approach to offense is antithetical to that.
Conflict of offensive philosophies between McMillan and the FO. Pacers were being left behind.

This makes sense. Even with Vogel they were pushing for a faster paced team which lead to that whole situation of trying to play Paul George at the 4.

People need to stop bringing up Mark Jackson name in these conversations its counter productive.
I 100% agree they did Casey dirty and that McMillan had extremely average teams competing hard.
But Mark Jackson is a fukking moron.
He hates analytics, he's publicly homophobic, he was scared of his own assistant coaches stealing his shine...
Oh and he told players on his team that Harrison Barnes was possessed by a demon.
Mark Jackson has the opposite of leadership qualities.
Throwing him into these conversations is counter productive when men like Dwayne and Nate do deserve the opportunities and do have leadership qualities.
Lots of coaches hate analytics but if they put a winner on the floor what does it matter. I'm not going to knock him for being homophobic. Cause it's only in this new world we live in that someone is seen as a bad person for nor liking gays. And when has he ever went at one of his assistants or did i miss it when he was coaching? And if Barnes was playing like shyt was that the worst thing that could be said about him at that time?

He didn't put a winning product on the floor. He lost with the same team that set NBA records a year or two after he left.
We live in that new world. He is entitled to his opinions, but if those opinions would serve as a liability or a distraction for the team he won't get the job.
Given that he actually meant that shyt, he wasn't trolling, and he's a devout Christian that was about the worst thing that he could say isn't it? If I said it it would be jokes, but when he said it and meant it he turned someone's struggles on the basketball court into a metaphysical indictment of their soul.

Warriors weren't a playoff team till he got there. The ascension they had to record setting may or may not have happened with him there but of course we will never know. Since it's no known gays in the NBA how is him not liking them affecting his performance as a coach? And Christian or not the man is entitled to say what he wants. If he had said Barnes was a lazy disappearing on the floor motherfukker i could see the uproar but don't churchgoing folk believe in Spirits and Ghosts? So excuse me if i don't see what the big deal is with that one.
