He's not that slow, and he's more efficient than Westbrook, his usage rate is .1 higher than Westbrooks and unlike Westbrook you don't have to worry about him potentially shooting you out of games or not giving up the rock to Durant because you can control when he gets the ball. A lot of your issues with him would vanish on a better team, he'd shoot better and with a defensive big next to him he'd be hard to take advantage of. I don't see how he'd slow you down when the Kings play at a 94.5 pace to the Thunders 95.4, he's faster in the open court than Perkins :manny: I think long term you may regret your stance with Westbrook, if his knees hadn't been cut open 3 times in the last year I'd say keep him, but when has that many surgeries in such a short time ever turned out good.

@CHICAGO Why would they do it? They don't seem to view IT as a starting PG, and most importantly franchises like that always go for the name.
I'm not even sure what you're trying to get at with westbrook has shot us "out of a game" , hell i'm not even sure the last time probably 2011? not sure where you are going there. anyway As Of right now we are have a offensive ratiing of 111.31 by far the best in the league is cousin's going to help that? i'd wage he wouldn't. we were 22-4 with westbrook at had a incredible OR of 113+ Idk about you but i'm not a fan of offensive big men who shoot barely 50% at rim. look at this shyt

he uses way to many possession and is not very good at the other end of the floor. for a 6'11 big man with a incredible wingspan his block percentage is mediocre at best. I would love to have a big man on our team to defend and rebound but Cousins is not that guy.Serge and hopefully soon to be adams are by far the more efficient threats at the 5 and fits in with our pick and roll scheme that we have. they don't require a huge amount of uses that cousins desire to be effective either.

as far as westbrooks injury, routine scopes after meniscus repair aren't a big deal at all. according to woj

All around this franchise, there’s a belief the best of Durant and Westbrook – the best of these Thunder – comes with the final weeks of the regular season and a playoff run into June. That knee is strong again, Westbrook’s meniscus problems behind him, and it is merely precaution that’s keeps him out until after the All-Star break this month, sources said.
.

edit: Also i don't think any team in the league can beat us in 7(depending on coaching of course) how we are currently constructed with a healthy westbrook. All i would love to add to this team is a backup stretch 3 or 4 like shawn marion
