Floyd knows he doesn't have to sell this fights like his others.. The media was probably expected his antics and trash talk.
still doesn't explain him changing his routine, doing different things in training and now not having the party he usually has before every fight. weird :sas2:

In his letter, he felt that there was too much partying and bullshyt. Cut that out and it's all business. He's trying to go out with a bang. I thought that he would go for 50-0 in the past, not anymore. He's leaving the game like Jim Brown and Barry Sanders did.

I don't know why people are saying Floyd is nervous, I just think he is focused and people are thrown off because he is not acting like 'Money'

It's because they forgot how "Pretty Boy" Floyd acted in the beginning, which is the true Mayweather. The "Money" character got him a possible $200 million payday on May 2nd...no need for him to keep up the charade and lose his focus.

Regardless of what HE says out of his mouth, Floyd is very knowledgable about the sport of Boxing, and trust he knows in his head that his legacy cant "afford" this loss. He's entering the biggest fight of his career.

He's focused maaaannnnnn *Jay-Z voice*

Officially ordered the fight. I know they were charging people attending the weight-ins, so I checked if they were charging that too on PPV :heh: (They're not, but imagine if they did for $10 :mjlol:)

If you're fighting the best opponent of your career, you're gonna be focused as hell too breh:dwillhuh:

Floyd knows this win is the pinnacle of his career. If he looks amazing in destroying his main rival, there's nothing left to prove and he exits stage left as undoubtedly The King of This Era:obama:

Floyd is not just fighting Pacquiao. He's fighting all Pacquiao's fans, Floyd haters, the history of Boxing, the Boxing media, those who never credited him and only doubted him, people who hate him just because he's rich/black/etc:mjpls:

This fight is HUGE for him, and trust....he knows this. He definitely knows this fight is gonna determine his lasting image in Boxing history and he's not gonna let anyone or entertain anything that can distract him from his end goal: Beating Manny Pacquiao clearly, cleanly, and decisively.:wow:

Honestly, I wouldnt even be surprised one bit to see Floyd cry in the post fight interview if he wins:mjcry:

I think Manny can put Floyd in trouble early on; perhaps even give him his first knock down.

No matter how much you prepare for a fighter, you can't get a sense of how fast their hand speed is or how hard they hit until you get in the ring with them. Most of Manny's opponents after the 1st round soon realize that his foot speed is a lot better and hand speed is a lot quicker than they anticipated. Beyond that you also have to deal with the fact that he is throwing punches in bunches, and from different angles.

Floyd being a counter-puncher and relying on his timing and instincts will take a few rounds to figure Pacquiao out. Before that I think he might get hurt, but ultimately regain his composure by the 4th and 5th rounds, and begin to dominate the fight by the 6th round (but possibly being behind on the cards). From there I would give him the advantage as he gets his timing and uses his jab and wingspan to tag Pacquaio as he comes in. I can see him knocking a frustrated Pacquiao out late a la Ricky Hatton.

You're not gonna "throw punches in bunches" at a distance on Floyd. You're asking to get knocked out. That's why most people assessment of this fight sound so stupid. The guys that were able to "overwhelm" Floyd with activity were guys willing to pay the price for getting in his chest and stayed there. That's not Manny's style. Algieri was able to keep Manny's output to under 700. I wouldn't be shocked if Manny offense is stuck in mud as early as the 3rd rd. If you're viewing this fight thru the lens of Manny's offense vs Floyd's defense, then you're missing the most important part of the fight. The key factor to this fight is actually Manny's defense vs Floyd's offense. Floyd's transition outta defense into his offense is the biggest key. And judging by most people analysis, it's clear most people don't know anything about boxing.
