According to former four division world champion Juan Manuel Marquez, WBO welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao must go for a knockout victory in order to beat WBC/WBA champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. on May 2nd at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Marquez was dominated by Mayweather over twelve rounds in 2009. He fought Pacquiao four times. All four bouts were very close and controversial, with Marquez scoring a deadly knockout over Pacquiao in the sixth round of their fourth and final meeting in 2012.

He says Pacquiao must be aggressive but use that aggression in a very smart way.

"For Pacquiao to win, he must knock him out - because the judges in Las Vegas are always in favor of Mayweather. Normally when Pacquiao is aggressive, he throws without [looking out for the counter], and in this respect he must change because Mayweather is a great counter-puncher and knows precisely what hurts Pacquiao. What hurts Pacquiao will be the counters and the defense of Mayweather, but he is dangerous for his speed and power. [Mayweather has] the style that hurts Pacquiao, and he should win by decision," Marquez stated during a recent appearance on Golpe a Golpe.

@seemorecizzy I agree that Floyd would have won either way, but at the end of the day it was still kinda fukked up. The agreed to a catchweight, and Floyd didn't even bother to make weight. I could see how that wouldn't sit well with many.

Personally, I don't have a problem with catchweights. But I hate the selective outrage that comes along with it.

People are ok with Floyd and his catchweights, but when Manny does it there's a huge problem.

Same with Cotto. People were bashing Cotto when the Martinez fight was fought at 159 instead of 160, saying Cotto should have went all the way up. Then when a possible fight with GGG came up, Roach said if it did happen, the fight would be closer to 154 than 160. People were outraged, saying that the champ should fight at 160, no catchweights. Yet when Sergio fought Paul Williams, the fight was at 158, and nobody said shyt.

If you're gonna be against catchweights, be against them at all times, and vice versa. None of this picking and choosing shyt :camby:

Neither breh... Just a documentary of each fighter
That's cool tho, right? The weekly episode thing has run its course really.

When will those docs air tho, and I wonder if they'll really be a 24/7 jammed into one doc anyway.

I'll just say this: there are going to be a lot of Floyd haters very upset when this fight happens. I don't expect this to be thoroughly one sided, but by the fourth.... Yeah.

Going to be even funnier to see the struggle team coppin pleas when this shyt is no cakewalk like they imaged :sas2:

I think it has more to do with Roach talking his sh!t all the time while demanding these catchweights.

Struggle team? :heh: you fully going in on Floyd or his fan base, breh?

Nope but I know how a few of the Floyd stans operate around here, these were the same nikkas saying Maidana was going to be easy work, then all of a sudden after he gave Floyd a tougher than expected time Maidana became a killer and not the dude who took Ls to Devon and Khan :shaq2:

If he loses, watch them all abandon that dude with a quickness....

Floyd who? :mjpls:

We already had dudes in here saying that even if Manny were to beat Floyd, Floyd still gets ranked higher all time :dead: you can't make this shyt up.
