B-hop my nikka but he looking at this from the 2010 lens.

If the Floyd that showed up against maidana go up against the PAC that literally kicked Chris's ass around the ring for 12 rounds, then its gonna be a long fight.

I think floyd wins 8 rounds to 4. Not a complete blow out, but it will be a decisive win.

maidana is bigger and stronger then floyd
pacquaio is not

so no one thinks floyd inside out, fighting from angles is going to have any affect in the fight?

floyd does stay in front of you... he likes his opps to stay in front of him, well most of his recent opps have been like this.

Of course these angles will affect him, I just don't think they will that much once he gets settled in.

wasnt the point i was trying to make. im sayin if Maidana can land and hurt floyd with them dumb ass punches he be throwing, then one of the best boxers of all time chances to do the same cant be that bad. the maidana fight showed me one thing: floyd has slowed down a lot more than manny has from a physical standpoint. However, i still say that floyd is a little bit ahead of manny. No way that floyd should have been even is a kinda competitive fight with marcos.

and about bum ass chris. i should had used Tim bradley( best 147 pounder outside of manny and floyd) as a measuring stick

pacquaios win (wins) over bradley were impressive
no doubt about that

the first fight between floyd and maidana was compeitive because maidana was fighting like he was on blow . i also think floyd for the first time in his career may have underestimated an opponent. The ref also did a horrible job cause maidana was fouling and cheating left and right and he pretty much did nothing. He only hurt floyd once in 24 rounds.

pacquaio doesn't have the same presence size and heigh weight as a maidana and cant cut of the ring like him

pacquaio is definitely gonna land some punches
how clean will they be? who knows
im almost positive pacquaio can't hurt him but we shall see

Yall bring up Maidana yet completely disregard the fact all of Maidana's damage was done on the ropes...He didnt land anything in the middle of the ring...We have already said about a thousand times in this thread, Pacquiao doesn't cut off the ring...That means he doesn't apply pressure like Maidana...Pacquiao stays in front of you bouncing in and out...Maidana is in your chest pinning you on the ropes and going to work with his caveman punches...Completely different approach here...

This is boxing and in this sport styles make fights...

he will if Floyd exchanges, but Floyd will probably look to keep the risks at a low, the biggest problem Pac has for Floyd is he is CLEARLY faster than him at this point. Back in 2009, PAC was still faster, but now Floyd legs have slowed down a bit. He cant run from Pac so he has to gain his respect. truth be told, i dont give a fukk who you are if you exchange with PAC he will hurt you. try to potshot him and he will spam combos at weird angles that score points on the card. The first half of this fight will be tight, but floyd will pull away in the later stages.

I think you should give PAC more credit than you are currentyl giving him.

Like you said beating tim bradley twice was very impressive....shyt ill go as far to say that the two bradley wins are better than any head that Floyd got on his resume (tim is better than over the hill ass dela hoya or underachieving ass zab) . Im not even gonna bring up morales and berrea (two of the best mexican fighters of all time)

Nacho: Pacquiao Has 45% Shot To Beat Mayweather
Posted by: Miguel Rivera on 2/26/2015

By Miguel Rivera

Nacho Beristain, trainer of former four division world champion Juan Manuel Marquez, is giving Manny Pacquiao a 45% chance of defeating unbeaten Floyd Mayweather Jr. on May 2nd at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

The veteran coach trained Marquez for four fights with Pacquiao in 2004, 2008, 2011, 2012 - and also trained Juan for one fight with Mayweather in 2009.

Nacho sees Mayweather as a the favorite to win, because of his style. He doesn't view Pacquiao as being as big of an underdog as others do.

"I've always liked Pacquiao's style better. Because he has a commercial style, people will gladly pay to see him fight, and the other, as we know, has a defensive style, but also has many resources," Nacho said to ESPN Desportes. "I think Pacquiao has a 45 percent chance. Mayweather is the favorite [but only by a little bit]."

"On paper it is Mayweather who arrives at a better time, because of the knockout Pacquiao suffered to Juan Manuel. But Pacquiao has many things going for him...speed, and being a smart fighter...although people think otherwise, he knows when to shoot his combinations."

Now, I thought a couple days ago...Nacho was saying that Pacquiao was gonna win. I may be wrong. Now, he's lowered that "expection" to giving Pacquiao a 45% chance of winning?:mjpls:

He must've found out, like @LeVraiPapi , that Floyd is sipping on them Ariza Shakes now:wow:

my dude told me the exact thing too and he said if Floyd wins convincingly, it may kill off Floyd's brand cuz the casuals will be discouraged and give up

good point. i brung up maidana not to say that PAC fights like him or that PAC vs MAY will play out like MAY vs MArcos did. i brought him up to show you guys that Floyd is not the same fighter he once was. truth be told, im not even sure that he is the #1 P4p guy in the world any more. there is no way that floyd (arguably the best fighter I have ever seen) should be losing more than 1 or two rounds against a nikka like Maidana. PAC fought bradley for 24 rounds and lost like 5 rounds at MAX, floyd fought Maidana (who is a B-level fighter living off the fact that he beat an unmotivated AB) for 24 rounds and lost at least 7 rounds.

Levels to this shyt, i understand that style make fights, but talent does as well. MAY should've gave Madiana the same treatment that B-hop gave Pavlik or that Manny gave chris. But i think I might be ignoring the fact that floyd could have been underestimating how tough Marcos is.

We all underestimated Marcos. I personally didn't expect to see him 17 pounds heavier and pumping his jab like a piston throughout 12 rounds. Normally, they fade against Floyd, I expected no different. Marcos had the fight of his life that night. That said, Marcos is definitely not Chris, he's fought some real boxers and basically everyone that he ever fought tasted canvas. However, Floyd didn't. That said, I've always thought that Floyd would go high guard from round one, won't be too much shoulder rolling here.

I wouldnt go that far, but it was a good victory for Pacquiao. I'll put it under Floyd's W over Cotto though :obama:
