Philippine basketball authorities have sacked and fined an American import for ridiculing national boxing hero Manny Pacquiao’s quest to become a professional basketballer.
Former NBA player Daniel Orton hit the headlines last week after playing against Pacquiao in the local pro-league, a game in which the 1.69-metre (5 foot-6 inch) boxing champion scored a solitary point.
“Professional boxer, yeah, okay… professional basketball player, no. It’s a joke,” said Orton, 24, who signed with the Purefoods Hotshots team just this month.

The breh in street clothes got a look on his face like Pooky showed Deebo, looking like he bout to cry inside cause Manny took his run. Of course the phillipino D Wade is loving basking in Manny's presence that nikka prolly be hiding in a stall sniffin Manny practice jersey, but my favorite part of the pic just look at the breh with the headphones! My man looking straight up absolutely disgusted, like "Aye, fukk this nikka" :scust:

:mjlol: at 5'6'' Manny running around shooting airballs and shyt and dude is probably on the bench like :beli:

Lennox Lewis Breaks Down Mayweather vs. Pacquiao

Former undisputed heavyweight champion Lennox Lewis weighed in on the super-fight, Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs. Manny Pacquiao - scheduled for May 2nd at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Lewis, like most fighters as of late, is siding with Mayweather to get the victory.

Lewis told BBC Radio 5 live's Sportsweek - "Floyd is the best at side-stepping and movement and he's very quick and hard to hit. Pacquiao is a great guy when it comes to offence and trying to break a person down - he's trying to knock you out, so it's a great match-up between styles."

"I think Floyd has so much talent and quickness, that natural ability to win. It really depends on his heart. Pacquiao has a lot of heart. It's difficult but I think Mayweather has all the advantages, that natural ability and rhythm. Pacquiao, you never really know how he's going to come out because he's boxed differently on different occasions with different opponents."

Lewis himself has often pondered about the idea of coming out of retirement for a major fight. At 49-years-old, he quickly comes to reality and talks himself out of it.

"If I came out of retirement now and boxed Wladimir Klitschko I'm sure we'd make more money because we're heavyweights and command a lot more attention. People love heavyweights," Lewis said.

"I have dreamt about it - then woken up and talked myself out of it. My friend Razor Ruddock is coming back at 51. His last fight was 14 years ago and he's making a mistake. I don't think it's necessary to come back at this point."
