goons in the cut tryna talk you out yo necklace
Gotta applaud Roach for being the guy who got Arum and Les together.. once that happened everything else fell in place like dominoes
So we aren't going to applaud the waiter? He's the one with the balls. Roach is half the reason the fight didn't happen the first time.

I believe Roach probably put the waiter up to it since he trained his son... more applause goes to Roach because he got the head of TR and the head of CBS(who had beef with each other) to meet, squash the beef, get Haymon and Spinoza in line, and leaned on both networks to come to terms... Yes the waiter indirectly had a hand in it

One time my nikka but he talking too much shyt for somebody that stays fighting weed carriers, bodega clerks and hot dog venders...

He better be prepared for Ghost...That boy is no joke and I heavily doubt Haymon will put the fix in to bail his ass out on primetime television...
He's not that good of a fighter. To be honest none of these young nikkas are.

Arum burned bridges everywhere. MGM Grand hated him, Les didn't like him. Stephen Espinoza obviously didn't like him. Al Haymon didn't like him and we already know about Floyd's feelings towards him. There were MANY obstacles to getting this fight and almost all of the major ones involved Bob Arum

Mayweather Sr: Pacquiao's ass getting whooped, real bad!
Posted by: Edward Chaykovsky on 3/4/2015

By Edward Chaykovsky

For years, a good portion of Manny Pacquiao's fans have accused Floyd Mayweather Jr. of running scared from a potential fight. After six years of failed negotiations, the fight is finally signed, sealed and delivered - for May 2nd at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Father and head trainer Floyd Mayweather Sr. is predicting his son will hand out a one-sided beating in what many expect to be the most lucrative fight in boxing history, with many predicting the card will easily surpass the existing pay-per-view record of 2.4 million purchases, which was generated by Mayweather's 2007 HBO Pay-Per-View with Oscar De La Hoya.

"What’s he gonna bring? He’s gonna bring his ass to the ring and get it whooped, real bad. It ain’t too much for me to say about him to be honest because the thing is, and it aint no excuse about nothing, this is the fight that they’ve all been waiting on, all these years, talking about Floyd being scared. Now we’re gonna find out," Mayweather Sr. told
On The Ropes Boxing Radio .

Pacquiao: My Kids Were Pushing For Mayweather Fight
Posted by: Chris McKenna on 3/4/2015 .

MANNY PACQUIAO has revealed his children pushed for him to fight Floyd Mayweather Jr.

The pair square off on May 2 in Las Vegas for what is one of the biggest bouts in the last 40 years.

Pacquiao, 36, is set to pocket more than £50m for his part in the sport’s richest event, which is believed to be worth around £200m
.
The Filipino claims the welterweight clash is the biggest of his life.

With such eye-watering sums on offer, it is easy to see why for the 64-fight veteran who has won world titles in multiple weights.

In an exclusive interview with CNN, the future hall-of-fame fighter revealed how much the eldest of his five children wanted him to take on the man regarded as the world’s pound-for-pound champion.

He said: “My son and my daughter, they really wanted this fight to happen.

“Three years ago [they said] 'Daddy, I want you to fight Mayweather. I want you to fight Mayweather.'

“I said, 'Why? It's not my fault. He doesn't want to fight.' And now finally now it finally happened. They really, really want to watch the fight.”

Pacquiao will have his family on the front row at the iconic MGM Grand Garden Arena on the famous Las Vegas strip.

Tickets for those seats are likely to exceed £5,000 at face value and very few in the arena – if any – will be available to the general public.

Pacquiao’s promoter Bob Arum reckons the fight will make around £30m on gate receipts alone and he is confident it will smash the pay-per-view record in America.

That currently stands at £97.5m, and this highly-anticipated clash will soar past the £100m figure with ease.

Those mammoth sums are also before the international TV deals are totted up.

It is still not clear who will broadcast the fight in the UK, with Sky and BoxNation believed to be very keen.

The international rights will cost around £3m and unless a terrestrial broadcaster comes in, it is likely to be pay-per-view in the UK.

Pacquiao added: “I can say this will be one of the most important fights in my career.

“It has been five years in the making and finally it's happening. I think the fans deserve it.”

Mosley Predicts Mayweather Will Out-Point Pacquiao

Shane Mosley assumed Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Manny Pacquiao would fight eventually, just not this soon.

Now that boxing’s two biggest stars have signed contracts to meet May 2 at MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Mosley is just as eager to see it as the rest of us. But the former three-division champion lost unanimous decisions to Mayweather and Pacquiao in May 2010 and May 2011, respectively, and thus has much more perspective on who’ll win than almost anyone else.

The 43-year-old Mosley believes Mayweather will win a decision, though he didn’t seem married to that prediction when he offered it during a FOX Sports Live telecast earlier this week.

“It’s kind of hard to say,” Mosley said. “But right now I’ve been sticking with Mayweather. I think Mayweather has the advantage only because of [what] both guys have in common with [Juan Manuel] Marquez. Marquez knocked Pacquiao out and Mayweather had a fairly easy time with Marquez, moving and evading punches.”

Mosley also thinks Mayweather might surprise Pacquiao with his power.

“The better technician will be Floyd Mayweather,” Mosley said. “And Mayweather has been fighting a lot more on the inside, and throwing harder shots. And I don’t think people realize that Mayweather does have a little bit of power. Manny Pacquiao is the better fighter, meaning he’s a fighter.”

Pacquiao dropped Mosley (47-9-1, 39 KOs, 1 NC) in the third round of their fight. Mosley recovered, however, and survived 12 one-sided rounds (120-107, 120-108, 119-108).

Mayweather (47-0, 26 KOs) didn’t appear to hurt Mosley, who stunned Mayweather with right hands on two separate instances during the second round of their 12-rounder. Mosley couldn’t capitalize on hurting Mayweather, who regained his composure and also won a wide decision over him (119-109, 119-109, 118-110).

Though Pacquiao dropped him, Mosley can’t see Mayweather or Pacquiao (57-5-2, 38 KOs) winning by knockout when they finally fight nine weeks from Saturday night.

“I think it goes 12 rounds,” Mosley said. “I think Mayweather’s going to out-point Pacquiao by moving, evading punches, and being able to do combinations and stuff like that.”

It's crazy to see how many videos, articles, time has been devoted to this. I would put money on this being top 5 most discussed event in the history of sport, up with the miracle on ice and dream team Olympic stuff.

Donaire is partially right. Floyd has several defensive moves he uses against southpaws. What he described in the video is exactly was Broner does instead of using his legs or bending to get out of the way of punches. Watch the Guerrero fight with Floyd & you'll see the subtle differences in his moves against southpaws; he doesn't use the shoulder roll nearly as much because of what Nonito said.
