:yeshrug:It can't touch Menace II Society.
Im probably gonna get flack for this but

after rewatching Menace it reminds me of more of what white people think black people in the hood act like

I know the directors are black but if i didn't i'd assume they were white after watching it

Boyz in the Hood felt more authentic and made the characters act more realistic and less like stereotypes

Menace has some classic scenes but overall I think Boyz has aged better.

I feel Boyz and Menace were both real portrayals. Boyz is more typical definitely, but Menace overall isn’t but there are some parts that do feel stereotypical but still can be real...like O dog flippin on the koreans, you know a hot headed nicca or 2 that might do that. The only scene that really gives me the :patrice: is when chauncey is herbing the white guy he stealing cars from I thought it was over the top considering you getting bread with dude. :manny:

Why was this bumped :dead:

Anyway, it's not on Goodfellas level but it's damn good.

It's better than Casino though. :hubie:

It's definitely better than BNTH
It's not definitely better, no matter what problems Boyz had, it's a much more relevant and powerful film than PIF could ever be. So no bruh.

Don't post torrent links in this sub-forum. That's directly from the Admins. It's one of the fastest ways to get banned from the site.

So you like the message and what BNTH was supposed to represent which is fine...but pushing all that pretense to the side, PIF is a better watch all day. :manny:

We have our opinions but Boyz will always be revered and referenced while PIF will always be a good hood flick with no influence. You a young dude tho who's barely catching up on classics that majority of this forum have seen ages ago so I guess I cant really take your opinion too serious.

You really don't have much an argument for that movie do you? :heh:

I don't care about influence or how people see something, I'm talking about what I enjoyed watching more, and that was PIF. You out here sounding like dudes copping pleas for boring underground conscious rappers because "they have a message" or "at least they aint talking about _________" Don't tell me you're propping things up because it's what you're "supposed to like" rather than what you actually enjoy. That's no way to live.

Message! And your argument is, because i enjoyed th e movie more it's better film making? :mjlol:

Boyz has the classic scenes, quotes and is the powerful and relevant film period. You may enjoy PiF but it will never have those accolades, so Boyz is the better film and always will be.

With your ignorant ass. :francis:

Now go watch Scarface for the first time :mjlol:

I mean the Korean scene if anything is based on the for real tension between Korean shop owners and black customers

and then there's this scene
