paid in full was a true story and had some great acting by all three of its stars. plus it really transports you back the late 80's hiphop scene. almost nostalgic.

this isn't something you need to compare. love belly just cause of what it is, paid in full is of course a technically better movie.
just heard recently that the reason parts of belly are so dark is cause hype ran out of money for lighting.... dude must have spent it all on baby oil, everyone in that movie is always so shiny

Belly was that shyt especially at the time it was released. Hip hop was alive and well. Damn I miss the old days.

paid in full is good for when you wanna just watch some entertaining shyt. it wasnt the best movie ever, but it had a great true story to pull from and a great cast so its easy to look past it flaws. it is a very entertaing flick and the three stars did their thing.
belly was some whole other shyt. it presented itself as a hood movie but it was alot deeper than that. nas is possibly the worst rapper "actor" ever and the movie itself is pretty dark and brooding so i can see why its hard for some folks to get into, but i loved that shyt. me and my boys used to get high and just zone out to that shyt. i still throw it on every now and again.
