My mom is haitian. I remember when I was in high school and one of my boy's, who's haitian, was telling me about aristide. He said some people broke into Aristide's house and were coming after him to kill him and Aristide had nowhere to go, so he turned into a banana.
I looked at him like
and repeated the story back to him like "you want me to believe...." and the moment I got done saying "banana", we both busted out laughing
