The issue is that the NFL's rating are down which means Papa John's money is affected. If players were kneeling but business was flowing as usual there would be no tweets.Their issue is that players are kneeling. That's the "issue" they want to have resolved, i.e., punishing players for protesting and forcing them into silence and acquiescence.
But since ratings are down, are we of the mind that's it because the 3-minute national anthem with some players kneeling has certain Americans willing to miss the whole 3-hour game? Or is it due to some people deciding not to give the NFL their ratings because they still won't give Kapernick a job?
I don't think the NFL punishing players for kneeling brings ratings and money back to the league so I'm not seeing that as Papa John's inferred solution.
