Pap is no Hov. And he's not even an elite lyricist but we're acting like Big Sean has some ...I dunno "status" in hip-hop. Calling your album "Fame" this and "Famous" that doesn't actually build your credibility or skill. It attracts fame-mongers, who will quickly abandon you when you're not doing the most trendy thing. As in, he doesn't innovate, he follows. That's why Drake dissed him with the subliminal 'quit worryin' bout ya followers/you need to get ya dollars up' and then going on to say 'and good ain't good enough'. Sean may have talent and a few clever lines here and there -- don't get me started on how easy it is to be "clever" in rap right now -- but I doubt he will survive the storm of a sub-par album with his fame-hungry approach.

Y'all killing the messenger cuz it's Pap and his voice is annoying and whatever and his catalog is :ld: but where will Sean be even two years from now? That's the question he should be asking himself.

Drake has lifted from Sean style wise before/needs to take up his own advice :ehh:

I'm just happy to see some aggression back in HipHop.

Too much been catered to the ladies honestly. It's just that there's alot of bytch ass nikkas out there who relate to those songs and artists too.

the aggression never left hip hop.... it's just that the people who really rap the shyt they live, get called reckless and told to chill out cause they have money and need to set a better example.

Good point buuuuut...a lot of versatile and long-lasting artists adapt trendy styles into their own as they evolve (see: Hov). The difference is that the artists who were responsible for the trends tend to fade out unless they innovate more or have actual substance to their art. The jury is still out on Sean.

son it's pure obvious that u hate Papoose..to the point I see u making arguments for the other artists that u wouldn't normally make or atleast I haven't ever seen u make since Sohh..album sales fam?..really?..bottom line whether u hate pap or not..Big Sean is a soft ass nikka..and I'm not sayin it cause of all the other reasons nikkas say..I'm sayin it cause the nikka literally had the audacity to try and clown anyone for dissin Kendrick while his soft ass sat there..let Kendrick son him on his own track..and didnt even feel secure enough to put it on his album...if NOBODY else responded to the shyt HE should've responded...nikka Kendrick took his track and did what the fukk he wanted to with it..made nobody care about his verse and called the nikka out on the same track...

What gave it away? The fact that I called him a bum? The fact that I pointed out he rose to fame jacking a concept from somewhere else? The fact that I said he has HUNDREDS of just down right fukking pathetic punch lines?

:snoop: I really wish some of you would READ, think, and then post. I said Big Sean can act like a bigger artist than Papoose because he sells more records. He is the bigger artist. He gets spins on the radio, people know who he is. Papoose on the other hand isnt.

I didn't say Big Sean was better than Papoose because he sells more records. He's better than Papoose because Papoose makes generic, boring ass new york punch line mixtape raps. This isn't 2004.

You see this is why these is tracks hold no substance and never last. Your over zealous praising of every damn diss song towards a artist YOU don't like. I can use your same logic, you use "This is hip hop" as a excuse for trash like this. This shyt is corny, reminisces of a 5 year old calling another 5 year DooDoo Head in Kindergarten. Y'all ruin the diss track, Im not even a fan of Big Sean.
At the end of he day a diss track like this will collect dust fast until someone actually responds to Papoose and then we'll be back to square one. "OMG he murdered Papoose! This is Hip Hop" until Papoose comes back with another track and then it will be "OMG Papoose killed him, he shytted on their album covers, Ohhhh" and so on and so on.

What are you talking about? I was directly talking to another poster who said Big Sean can't act like he is bigger than Papoose.

"You do really this is a diss record"
If you're addressing what I said, I never claimed that Sean wasn't bigger than Pap...I was just saying he's in no position to be dismissive of any emcee, because his career is trending down and he might be eventually joining them in "irrelevancy"...

He isn't accomplished enough to look down his nose at anybody...Sales aside, Pap has been a fixture in the culture for much longer than him anyway...
