Album is straight, about 3-3.5 MICS from 1st listen so not spectacular but it had it's moments. Love the street element. The Production is hit or miss. Pap is an acquired taste but if you into that Lyrical NY sound the album will appeal to you. I do agree with Ant Barr that Pap isn't the best song writer but he's again one of those raw spitters and let's keep it 100, a lot of that is missing in Hip Hop being promoted today. These are my two favorite tracks:

Art Barr been here before Lil Wayne was hard.. Before Papoose dropped mixtapes with alphabetical bars!

chu got damn right...

i was the first person to give props and make it cool to even utter wayne, triple six, or gucci in this community and not get clowned back in fukk'n 01.

this was before we knew wayne was getting ghostwritten by the squad to gillie.
lying on rap city saying he was concentrating on learning to be a real emcee on rap city.

when he was really being ghostwritten, to buying records.

the reason why it is cool to diss weezy and live, in this community.
plus, say you like weezy and live is all because of me, period.

no nikka talked about weezy, gucci, pat, or even jeezy like i did in this community.

that is real fukk'n talk.........

shyt,..on the internet period..
i was the person who first said eminem would be as big as he is to this day, first as well.

I AM the god emperor of this shyt,.......fa real.

Art Barr dropping serious knowledge in here.
Papoose doesn't understand melody and that makes his material hard to listen to. It's unfortunate because he's creative, hard working, driven, basically somebody who's going to be successful in life on some level. But he's not going to get close to the level he wants to get to as a rapper until he develops a better sense of flow.

i really would enjoy if pap,.....

would have baited and switched us on these records.
like seriously, went and ramped up skill and learned to pocket flows, and have vocal tonality.
if he would have done that,.....
i would have been pleased with just the idea of this record.
plus listened as intently as i did to percee p's long awaited record.
yet, since pap never up'd skills....
i really can not do much with this record.
i am glad he put it out.
yet, i would have been really glad for an emcee with a pen game like his.
to up skill and polish up every intangible in his skillset.
then shock us with that ramped up skill submission for an album.

than to get the album i knew i was going to get.
more than a decade ago....
if this album dropped like let's say right after roots of evil.
which he easily could have done.
as he really has not up'd any technical skill in his writing.
as he was pretty much as he was back in 99, when he got the feature of a lifetime.

the problem with pap being offkey is.
one, offkey rhymes never really fit the production.
which is why he has to yell, and offkey rhymes come from a number of different areas.
the most important negative byproduct of offkey rhymes is vocal tonality and flawed actual technical skills when writing.

so, off top with how offkey and the yelling pap does...
i already know,....he would not ramp up skill.
to go back and re-record the vocals to these records and show how ill his skills have gotten.
as he would have to face facts,...that he has great lyrics that can never be made better delivery and performance wise.
pap would have to man up and come to the realization...that damn, i wrote this rhyme wrong to this beat.
yet, the content is so raw i do not wanna touch it.
i understand why he does not want to ramp up skill.
yet, he has to because being offkey is a no-no in rap.
especially since, most rap is all gangsta rap.
which means convincability.
which means vocal tonality....

both things pap does not have at all...
which comes from a flawed pengame.
yes, pap's pen game content wise is dope.
yet, it is outdated/flawed/incorrect technical application wise.
he has to fix that first.

not in a wack fab, dumb down to get off weaker bars way, with an even wacker delivery way.
he has to ramp up and figure out how to spit what he spits.
with more convincability and more technical application.
till he does that,...he will always fail to garner any listeners past someone who is a rare connoisseur of rap.
which are few and far between.
the only reason i know to listen to pap is from a g rap cosign,...
of which, he has never kept the same promise to skills.
that i expect from an artist given the awesome g rap feature.
it is a shame, too.
as i really know pap has the stuff content wise to seriously do incredible damage.
yet, until...
pap decides he will ramp up skillwise and get better.
he will never materialize the vast potential he has as an emcee.

like literally, pap is the guy people hate on.
all because skillwise,.....
they know he is on to something they will never try to actually achieve.
yet, in that he will fail.
all because he will not fully apply himself to the full picture of success.
he could easily have if he actually did all the work.
pap has no excuse, either.

he is in ny, he is with kay slay/g rap/remy ma.
he is a great technical content based emcee.
that has the work ethic and stamina to write on a level most do not and can not fukk with.
yet, in that....
he has to realize, you have to be formidable in every category.
not just one.............

this goes for the business side as well as the emcee side in the business of rap.

if pap, did the skill side like he was supposed to.
he has the type of skill and content as an actual great emcee.
that doors would open up for him if he applied himself fully from just the emcee side.

he already had or has the connects, locale and start business wise to get places other emcee hopefuls with his skill never got to.

the only difference between him killing like he should is vocal tonality.
which creates convincability, and clarity.
that because of his pengame potency would open up crazy doors.

pap is in the same area that cass, and even canibus were in.

if you never get the vocal tonality aspect to pocket flows correctly.
all you will be doing is yelling.
which is all people will hear and then they will discontinue listening.
regardless if what you said was so great it was typically worthy of a rewind.
in that case,...the listener will become annoyed and not press rewind.
they will press the off button,........

it is a shame a talent like pap has not ramped up.

he is the epitome of what could be.

if he ramped up.....
nobody in rap history could say one negative word about that dude.
since, he hasn't ramped up...
he has become a passing cruel joke that has gone on for a decade.
which makes me feel bad for him.

i salute pap....cause i want any guy like that to do the work in full to make it.
yet, you make it hard to fully get behind you.
all because you will not fully commit to what you really need to do as an emcee, to garner that support.

Just finished listening to it in it's entirety (don't ask me why :manny:). It's not great, but it was better than I expected. A couple REAL lame songs on there, but the dope ones that stood out were: "Faith", "Cure" f. Erykah Badu, "Get At Me", "Aim Shoot" f. Mobb Deep, "Motion Picture", and "Mother Ghetto". "Pimpin Wont Die" had a dope concept. Wasn't feeling the Jada and Jim Jones joint though and that Alphabet sh*t was just overdone.

Am I the only one that thought that Prodigy sounded extra :flabbynsick: on Aim and Shoot? Dude was struggling on that joint, Havoc ate him up hahah, which is rare, because usually it's either Prodigy eating up Havoc or Havoc being on even terms with him. But Prodigy's verse was pathetic, and I'm a Mobb Deep Stan :snoop:

They should have released Noxema Cream years ago. I don't get the logic in how late this album is.
