Finale was kinda corny and felt rushed.....
AT THE VERY LEAST... they should have had this cold open in whatever episode we find out Xavier was shot before. Wasn't really mad at the finale personally 
My only gripes, if any, would be I wanted a lil more time spent with Sinatra, a lil more explained on how my man Library was able to pull up on the White House of all places + the prez joint in Paradise (even tho that's a lil more believable).

I enjoyed the finale for what it was. I don’t agree with every critique BUT I understand why this as a season finale was polarizing. There were a few plot holes that I think were brought on by lazy writing in spots but overall I wasn’t mad at it.
@dora_da_destroyer I don’t necessarily agree with the majority black characters being “good” as a problem. We’ve had a hundred years of cinema in which black people have been portrayed as the worst of human existence. A prestige show like this with not just a black male, but a black female protagonist leading the way being competent, intelligent, and heroic wouldn’t have even been possible in the 90’s let alone any earlier time. We have the great privilege of existing in a time where its not just Eddie Murphy, Denzel Washington, or Wesley Snipes who can be portrayed as masculine, capable, and bold enough to save the day. We have the privilege of seeing someone other than Whoopi Gold erg portray black women as efficient and skilled. This is something to take heart in, especially given the fact that this country literally just said HELL NO to a black woman taking the highest office in leadership in favor of a white convicted sex offender.

and I agree with some of them. Aside from ep 7, which put the focus on a devastating and emotional moment, Paradise has always had campy moments and some questionable writing, with maybe too liberal use of flashbacks. The performances of Sterling K Brown and James Marsden, along with the premise have elevated it for me.
The opening in particular was hokey, with the project manager bonding with his West African worker
. And the events that transpired and allowed him to achieve his goals were a reach, but I'm glad they didn't drag out finding out who the President's killer was.
Abby being a psychopath who really wanted to play Wii, kinda worked for me

bro, it's a show. black people can play villains, morally gray, etc. it's really corny when a show or movie creates a bunch of good guy black characters because they're scared to make one "bad". and we have had tons of great/positive black leads/characters through time. you acting like it's 1960
