I had mentioned here before about only my house key turning up bent out of all the keys on my key-chain. It happened once in the DMV in 2005, once in the ATL in 2006, and once again here in the ATL in 2010. But I'm not going to spend time talking about that again, and instead I'm going to talk about something that was kinda supernatural, but in a way could be explained away, depending on how you analyze it. This took place in the spring of this year.
I have a wooden backyard fence. On the left side of the backyard facing the back of the house, where the gate is, I always kept this small tabletop grill on the right side of the gate, on the inside of the fence. I always kept the grill covered with this small black grill cover. But a lot of times the cover wasn't on tight, and on occasion the wind would slightly blow the cover up, exposing the grill a little. I remember once, maybe a few years ago, I came home and was about to enter my garage, but I found this same black grill cover sitting right in front of the right side of my garage door, the side I enter and park on. I had to get out my car and move the grill cover. I didn't know if it was a White neighbor playing a prank, or if it was one of my Black neighbors kids, who lived on the right side of me, that was putting the grill cover their because the wind blew it in their yard, and this was their way of returning it.
Anyway, I installed a few security cameras around the house not long after Christmas, and I now have a security camera facing this right side of the fence along with the gate, pointing from the front yard, so I can see who's entering or leaving the gate. I'd say around March or April, I went to the store and came back about 45 minutes to an hour later, to discover that black grill cover later sitting right were I found it a few years ago, on the ground right on the right side of the garage, causing me to have to remove this grill cover from the ground again. By now I was sure it was one of my Black next door neighbors on my right side. They were never friendly at all, but their 16 year-old boy did come over to lift weights in my garage a few times. He kinda had a good side and a bad side. I thought this was his bad side acting up, because I didn't remember seeing any windy weather when I left. Then it could have been him returning my grill cover again, if that was even the case when it happened a few years ago.
But this time I had the security camera, and it would be able to catch whoever this was in the act. But what I saw instead was this sudden wind just blew my small grill cover up in the air from behind the fence. How it when from over the fence, and over part of my roof, to land right on the right side of my driveway in that same spot in front of my garage door, I don't know. My security camera didn't cover all that, including the area my grill cover landed. It's still possible one of my next door neighbors on the right put it there after it landed in their yard because of the wind. But these were the type neighbors who didn't care how their yard looked, or for me for that matter. In fact, when hurricane Irma blew off one of their window shutters, they left it there on the side of their house, pointing at my house until they moved.
So if none of the neighbors touched my grill cover, and the wind did all of this, I don't really know how to take it. I don't know if that was something supernatural or what, since the wind left the grill cover in that very same spot, on the right side where I enter my drive way. If I didn't have my security camera, I would have sworn it was a neighbor involved from the beginning...and I would have been wrong. But one way or another brehs, invest in a security camera system. It has cleared up a lot of things for me, when i thought it was one of my neighbors. Not to get off topic, my security camera system came in handy a few months ago when I saw this young dude walking under my tree in my front yard as I was pulling up. I thought he may have been leaving my neighbors house from the right, and cutting through my yard, but I wasn't sure. I asked him what was up. He said he was cool. I wasn't sure where he came from, since he was so close to the side walk when I saw him. I was about to ask him not to walk in the grass, but again, he was so close to the sidewalk. But I caught him on my security camera, and discovered somebody had dropped him off in my driveway. Then he got out, walked near my front porch, then turned around. I pulled up when he was just past my tree near the sidewalk. Anyway. I called the cops, and let them look at my video. I know he was Black and all, but I ain't taking no chances. But I haven't heard or seen anything from that dude. Hopefully it was nothing. But let me let y'all get back on topic.
