Personal responsibility is a frowned upon trait nowadays, someone exhibiting personal responsibility offends all the fukk ups.
"the nerve of these nikkas to have their shyt together and controlling the outcomes in their lives! What I gotta do better and be responsible just cause they are? These nikkas making me look bad"
Same people that blame their failings on somebody else, blame their children's failings on somebody else. shyt is a personality flaw that's becoming more widespread.
This. I see this amongst the students I teach. A growing aura of laying back and saying nothing in order to fit in and not be branded a "nerd." Crazy thing is I tell them that they know the answer to my question or can explain an ideal but they are more reserved to coast.
I mean he did say something that makes sense:
Take credit for when your child does bad. You earned it. Why? Because every parent across all generations (60s-00s) have always said: "I'm grown. NO ONE can tell me how to raise my child."
No one wants to take responsibility or ask for help and take criticism.
Additionally, I think too often families pressure people to have kids or get married and young kids (aged 16-21) to keep kids when they may not be in an adequate financial/emotional/psychological space to PROPERLY raise the child, nor do they have support to help them.
If me and my girl ever choose to have a kid, we will make sure to have detailed talks, and make sure we are BOTH truly ready.

I knew this 18 yo hoodrat at my summer job who I was gonna try and fukk. I never did for obvious reasons
She was a senior in high school. At first I thot she was a college freshman, but I said fukk it she's 18 and I was 19. Only a year so it's cool
She tells me she makes mainly D's and F's. And then she says she still has to pass 3 state graduation tests. I'm losing attraction for this hood bytch quick
Then she tells me she's bisexual or whatever. nikka what? At this point I'm just praying to get a nut. I don't even care if I only last 30 seconds. I just wanna hit it and quit it
She tells me she smokes weed. Been smoking since she was 14. I'm like cool. We can smoke then I can hit it
So I go over her place. Her mom is there. Guess no sex. Then her mom straight up asks her "Did you get the weed?"
She says "Yeah my mom knows I smoke. I started cuz she smoked weed around me."
I'm thinking "What the fukk? You've been letting your daughter smoke weed since she was 14 and she might not even graduate on time, or graduate period?"
Needless to say I stopped talking to her completely. Didn't want to anymore

He's right. Some parents let everybody raise they kids but them, n then there are those that wanna be they kids friends. I became a parent at a early age. But thruout all my bs and fuccery my kids were my number 1 priority. And as fucced up as i was and sometimes still am ive raised good kids that im proud of. They could have have come out to be alot worse. Some parents blame errybody else for why they child being a fucc up when its no one to blame but themselves cuz its they job and nobody else. :Salute:

I dont think u understanding me cuz thats not what im saying. As a teenage parent do u think i expected them to follow everything i said and did??? When i didnt even have the skills and capabilities to be a parent. Thats his whole point, its not about telling them or making them do what u say but rather guiding them on how to think for themselves. Just like he said alotta parents dont know how to talk to they kids, they're mean and berate them. How u expect a child to listen to u when u make them feel bad??

Man, Ive been in similar situations. At first my mind is like, 'well I'm just going to hit." But then I see an overt ridiculous amount of too much ratchetness, then I suddenly become disgusted - afterwards I'm like fukk it.

I was ratchet as they come n my kids turned out good. All 3 of my sons have held a steady job since they were. 17 and attend college. My youngest worked n went to school and when he graduated high school he also had his associates degree and went str8 to unt after graduation like immediately after he spent his summer break at school , now he works there while going to school. And my daughter is a disd scholar in the 95th percentile, im not good at math but i think its a big deal.
