Parent tip pre-conception. Don’t have a child with someone who don’t have the same views, morals, expectations and goals as you. Sorry I didn’t answer the post.

Mold your child’s mentality and emotions. Don’t let society dictate those things.

Dont take the small things for granted and don’t totally ignore them either. Small things turn to big things that can get out of control.

Dont co-sign your child’s negativity due to some, “that’s my child I’m always going to believe them and have their back”. That’s a recipe for disaster. Don’t believe everything they say (but don’t let them know) and having their back doesn’t mean you co-sign the BS they may do. It means correcting them when they are wrong and encouraging them when needed.

Children are maniacs. A tip that works on one, may not work for you.

Only advice I have is to take time as the parent to work on yourself. Go out, exercise, see a therapist, fukk, etc. All this so you can continue to put up with those little motherfukkers without losing your mind.

Goodluck

Good luck. Around 2nd and 3rd grade anything you don’t want them to see or want to shield them from they’ll see it anyway cause every kid in their class will have cell phones.
Maaan thats crazy to think about. The exposure these kids gonna get is scary. Gonna have to be explaining a bunch of shyt to them after school.

Talk to them, expose them to many different things and places. Don't let them bully you.

Kids absorb everything.

When they reach the point where they start asking questions, be calm and patient. Answer them. All those "why?" questions can get annoying, but many parents lash out by telling the kids to stop, or sending them away to their rooms or giving them a tv or ipad to distract them. And all they are doing is denying their children knowledge. At its worst, they are teaching their kids to NOT be curious. To not learn. To not question. And that's bad.

On a similar note, because children can learn so many things so quickly, many parents will be impressed.
"My child is SO SMART". They start to believe their children are advanced or beyond their years.
What ends up happening is...they start to treat their children as if they are older. As if they are teenagers or something and they should know better about a lot of things. And they forget that they are still children. They don't have mental or emotional maturity. They aren't going to remember everything you told them 5 minutes ago.

So chill out and remember....they're kids.

Teach your daughter as a black woman (if she isn't my apologies) that being black is to be rooted in assets and pride, and nurturing instead of shame and dread.

have patience, have patience

have books around the house, play music that's instrumental heavy, let them kids outside!

and this is arguable the most important, but don't ever be afraid to be goofy/silly with your kids. I kick myself when I had my first one cause I thought I had to act like some kill joy every time they'd do something goofy. Now I could give a shyt I'm making em laugh and they make me laugh too.

congrats and good luck to you and yours breh breh, it's a blessing. fukk what anybody else say.
