Glad we won last night. One glaring weakness so far is that we lack size. Spo may have to go with a different starting line up depending on match ups. Speaking of Spo, props to him for getting to 800 wins.

We are also in contention for the NBA Cup as well. Here are the scenarios:

Advance as Group C Winner

Miami's easiest path is a Knicks loss. If the Knicks lose Miami will be in, likely as either the two or three seed and would host a quarterfinal game at the Kaseya Center.

Now if the Knicks beat the Bucks on Friday night, here is Miami's other opportunity.

Advance as the East's Wild Card Team

Given there is likely multiple teams at 3-1 here is how the wild card team tie breakers go as per the NBA's official website:

When two teams are tied within a group, the winner is determined by head-to-head record. If two or more teams are tied within a group, here is the order in which ties are broken:

  • Head-to-head record in Group Play.
  • Point differential in Group Play.
  • Total points scored in Group Play.
  • Record from the 2024-25 NBA regular season.
  • Random drawing (in the unlikely scenario that two or more teams are still tied following the previous tiebreakers).
Fridays Matchups include:

Magic at Pistons and Cavs at Hawks

The Miami Heat clinch a wildcard spot if any of the following happen:

  • The Magic win and the Cavaliers win by fewer than 17 points
The Magic win and the Cavaliers lose
The Pistons win by more than 12 points, and the Cavaliers win by fewer than 17 points
The Pistons win by more than 12 points and the Cavaliers lose
*Note if Cleveland and Miami tie in point differential (+49), the Cavs would have to score a minimum of 138 points to pass Miami as the wild card. If this happens, the Heat would miss out due to 2024/2025 record.

His play has been dope for us. Problem now is with Herro back he goes back to the bench even tho spo did that weird a$$ 3 guard lineup yesterday. Davion should sit and Ware starts but spo loves his small ball. Against detroit we need more jovic and keshad

Next up Pistons.

We can’t let Duncan come in and burn us, brehs. I like the guy and all (no homo) but I hope our perimeter defenders remember what his streaky “Jimmy Neutron” looking ass can do when he gets hot early. Don’t want him to come on and play conqueror/savior

I was thinking we’d start Herro and have Powell come off the bench to really keep teams on their heels with so much firepower coming off the bench.

Eventually I think it’ll be
starters
PG - Davion
SG - Herro
SF - Wiggins
PF - Adebayo
C - Ware

Bench
- Powell
- Jovic
- Jaquez
- Smith
- Johnson

That’s a deep rotation and personally I’d start Jovic over Wiggins but I know Spo likes small quick lineups to start games

I agree with the starting line up but in a contract year we got to give Norm the starting spot the way he is playing and bring Davion off the bench. If Spo wants Ware coming from the bench then put Jovic back in the starting lineup with bam and let him run the offense

Would suck for Norm to be relegated to coming off the bench, he’s been the team MVP in the first 20 games and he’s in a contract year so he needs his minutes/stats/touches

We lost this game the minute we let these fools score 13 straight points in the first quarter.

It's all good, tho. We seen their limitations and we'll get them next time

Seems like the team came out flat to start the game and that was a big mistake for one of the best teams in the league. Jaquez being out didn't help our second unit either. Cunningham really is a beast. We just need to bounce back versus the Clippers tomorrow to finish 3-1 for this home stand.

JJJ being out really hurt because he is the engine of our bench and actually gives us a lead or builds on it. Also Spo giving Ware only 22 minutes smh. Its regular season play this mofo 30 minutes unless he got some minor injury we dont know about
