The funniest part I've seen people that will pinch pennies for years. One friend that couldn't even go out to eat lunch without asking his wife cause they were saving for a house. No vacations. No leisurely activities. Then after all that once they got the house they had to start saving up for renovations and to furnish the house. That was about 7-8 years gone by of saving money just to say they own a house. fukk all that. That's 7-8 years of experiences.
EDIT: I just remembered the friend that was doing all of that ended up in the crazy house for a couple months. The therapist he was assigned told him he needs to relax and take a vacation as that all work no play mentality lead to him being too bottled up. It was so bad my job was afraid to fire him because they were worried he'd kill himself.

I don't own a house yet but have a stable car that's paid off. Take 3-4 major vacations a year. And have enough money in the stock market that if I pulled it out could easily lay down a deposit for a new house. To me life is meant to be lived.

Now the designer clothes and expensive cars is personally dumb to me but hey however people define their own joy is not up to me.
Your friend or co worker is going to lose his shyt if he gets divorced and loses the house .

Picked up a job in finance thanks to the lockdowns. Not debt consolidation, but something similar. If u step to my office wearing Gucci or anything similar I automatically assume your broke and your bank account is in the negative or close to it. Didn't start the business this way, it's something Iearned over the years. Average people tend to go broke cause they don't want anybody to think they broke :stopitslime:

Same thing with Mercedes Benz. The official vehicle of broke people in America. Even if you can afford the payments just wait til u need to fix the radiator. Or u working 2 jobs and that Benz is your only form of transportation :smh:

I just wonder sometimes how the lower/middle classes decided if you don't wear and drive your bank account it means your broke. fukk that, if you wear Gucci and drive a benz u broke as shyt stop lying to people.
I work in insurance and I have to contact folks lienholders and most of these folks are in these chargers, cameras, Benz, audi are stuck in horrible loans with high ass interest.
Then want to get mad when you total the car and there is still 10,15 20k left on the balance. Thats because they couldn't afford the car and they paying Damm near 8,10,12 dollars a day of interest on a fukked up car loan .

Dealers don't give a fukk , they sell the payments and try to hide how much is added on top of the cost of the vehicle.

Don't even get me started on the attitude these bytches be having driving a old ass Benz thinking they some hot shyt.

That's why it's common after a year or Teo they want crash their car own purpose hoping to get out of the loan.

Starter homes out here for +500k, the used car market is rivaling the new car market, we in a recession, food prices are skyrocketing and OP trynna shame ppl for how our money is spent. :russ:

nikkas is out of touch. Stay off instagram, its not reality. Most of those ppl 🧢 for a living. The average American cannot afford a new home, getting a affordable car is a gamble, knockoffs will never go out of style, and vacations are vital for ppl working themselves to death. Many jobs will even force you to take vacation.

Our culture of living to work has been slowly killing us since the late 60s.
Just bought a used car and I’m mad AF. I’m happy with what I got but still lol.

OP IS A GRADE A HATER. There's a wide gap between wearing designer clothes and paying a 300k mortgage with property taxes

How do you think people having an iPhone and a couple vacations a year is what's keeping them from affording sky high 300K+ mortgages and luxury cars?

Most people don't even buy big items that often. Not everyone is trading in a new phone or car each year.

OP mad that some people aren't "earning" their vacations and designer clothes.

"How dare u drive entry level mercedes and audis, It's not right, Y'all supposed to be tied down with mid 6 figure mortgages and car loans with interest and fees before y'all should ever even think of wearing gucci and balenciaga"

That's hate.

U should put them on game to a higher paying job. Anyone knows saving only goes so far.

If all those things are true then why walk around wearing your money and accruing debt?

I live on the east coast with the closest huge airport being 3 and a half hours in Atlanta. I've flown to Venice, Barcelona, Vegas, LA, New Orleans, Dallas, Hawaii twice, Puerto Rico, Aruba, Cozumel, and Jamaica and the most I've ever paid for a ticket is 550 and that was only due to upgrading my ticket. If you know how to plan right and look out for deals traveling can be done for a decent price.
He said round trip 250 you talking about 550, times are different now, finding something that cheap is probably impossible.

I agree that ppl should have their priorities in order, but...

I understand how life works. Some ppl don't want to be home owners. Some ppl don't care about owning a car.

Being a homeowner means being grounded and settled in one spot for a undetermined amount of time. Some people aren't built to nest, so they feel comfortable renting for whatever reason. Same with a car.

Owning a car means possibly having a car note, having to constantly fill it up with expensive gas or charging it if said car is electric, keeping up with maintenance which could be costly, having full coverage insurance, etc.

I say that ppl just need to do them! Keeping up with the latest fashion mat not be a wise investment, but if it makes ppl feel good about themselves, then so be it! Their priorities will change as they get older, so perhaps these individuals may decide to buy a home or get a ride.

Traveling..

Hmm..

The adventurous type will do it and I say that it is better for someone to do it while they don't have any major bills and/or have a family. It would be optimal if said person had a job that pays for travelling.

At the end of the day, ppl gonna do what they wanna do, so..

Live until you die!

Fuggit!

*shrugs*
