Doubt it..he won't get that kind of praise no matter what happens in that movie
Lol.
He can do comedy, is confident, ripped, American and most importantly caucasian with a legion of adoring fans of all ages, don't minimize the importance of that. You look at Hollywood and there is a gap in the market for American action stars. Don't care if this ain't the 90s, you see a guy like Chris Pratt and Marky Mark getting heavy burn and there is definitely a place for Cena..

Not that kind of legion of fans that pay for his movies because he's bombed way too much. Whalberg took a long time to get as credible as he is. Orlando Bloom and all kind of pretty boy mainstays have fell off post Pirates Of the Caribbean. Cena will ever be that kind of headliner. Eva Marie has a better chance than he does..shyt, Batista is not even headlining yet. He just lucked up on the Guardians doing so well.

Cena looks more gi joe less poindexter which is why I prefixed my point by stating there is an opening for a good ole "American action" star. In the 80s someone like Matt Damon would never be the star of an action movie. And with Elysium and the latest Bourne perhaps we are heading to a time where you actually have to look the part

The blanks are this..the Rock last appeared on WWF television in Aug 2004 when he confronted the Diva Search girls and called out Carmella getting picked on by fans. He laid out Coach and LA Resistance with Rhyno and Tajiri.

The sheets said he wanted to wrestle at WM 21 in LA the next year and he wanted to wrestle Macho Man. Rock wanted only historic and big matches for every return. That December, apparently his contract ran out without them attempting to sign him back and he was informed by MTV.com at whatever red carpet he was on at that time. They went "How does it feel to be a retired wrestler" and he was caught by surprise that the WWE would let his contract run out without wanting to make another deal and that was the end of his LIVE appearances on TV until Feb 14, 2011 before WM 27.

need more info on this
At the point where attitude was at deaths door, the company just bought WCW and had a wealth of talent, triple H out injured, stone cold practically disabled they just decided they wouldn't extend the only franchise player they hads contract? But were suddenly desperate enough to accommodate his ass as he came back for guest stints as Hollywood rock, doing the job for Goldberg, Orton and brock? Sounds like good ole fashion :duck:to me but :hubie:who am I to judge. Its more a case rock saw the how popular his character was received in mummy 2 took time off for SK and then caught the bug

Wasn't there rumors of Rock lobbying for a Sting match too? Man rock vs sting or macho man would have been piff

Didn't Rock come back, say he was never leaving again, then leave again? :pachaha:

We'll see how long this stay lasts, John :sas2:
