Not only is this optional, but I used to keep saves before bosses specifically to beat them over and over and Sephiroth was one of them. If you know how Harvest works, learn the block timing, and maxed out your drive abilities he was very easy. he's actually harder on KH1

The elder wyrm is bullshyt because you JUST got done fighting a big ass dragon that if you didn't previously grind for, you got your ass whooped. I mean, you just got done fighting that shyt like 10 minutes ago, now you gotta fight him again on steroids.
No strategy guide properly prepares you for this motherfukker either, I quit the game for years and eventually played it again. Realized that if I take my party members to the other side of the battlefield away from him, they won't get hit by the oil attack, and then they won't be slaughtered. On a second playthrough I grinded early in the game specifically so I would be prepared for this guy and he went down like a little bytch, didn't even put up a fight

In demon souls, I made it all the way to the end but the fakkit ass final boss would steal your soul levels during the fight. I ended up fighting him about 7-8 times and lost like 10 soul levels and I said fukk this bytchass shyt. Everytime I would fight him I'd get weaker and it would take forever to level back up.
