I just came back from it and I while I think the movie made some poor decisions in its storytelling, it's also a big example of how in today's culture everything has to be put under a magnifying glass by social justice warriors.

Are you seriously saying that if the genders had been swamped, the plot would have been believable and acceptable? I can see the Coli calling Jennifer Lawrence's all sorts of names for waking a dude up prematurely and essentially killing him because she didn't want to be lonely. It's fukked up, regardless of gender. And for the movie to have the victim just shrug her shoulders and decide to abandon her plans and just choose a premature death with this creepy person is ridiculous.

The marketing led me to believe that there was a sinister plot surrounding the ship's malfunction. Had I known that it was just Titanic in space I would've waited.

I genuinely enjoyed the film, I did feel that it should have embraced it's dark premise just a bit more and had the characters discussed the actions and motivations a bit

Spoiler: here a better way to end the movie

I think of better ending or last sequence would have been Aurora possibly forgiving him but not want to be with him romantically. them being friends for a bit, him dying to fix the ship, seeing her alone for a few years and then her doing the same thing with a different "passenger"

showing that this is not so much about sex as just show a genuine need for human connection


or make jlaw a serial killer/ evil who was escaping earth and she turns out to be a nightmare to be with

I honestly think it would have been better to have this as a thriller movie,with Chris Pratt going crazy from isolation and then waking up JLaw,trying to act cool.Then when she finds out he tries to kill or capture her and the rest of the movie is her trying to keep away from him while he hunts her down

i think they should just went for the Hard R and have some insane space sex
