You gotta have at least $500-1000 ready to use in case of emergency if you're traveling. Not counted with your expenses, it has to be separate and ready to go in case of some fukkery happening at the airport, hotel, whatever.

I wouldn't step outside my house without a credit card with 10K in case something went wrong. I brought four airline tickets this month and my statement was 960.34 this month (just paid it)

When I first went to the DR I had pneumonia I thought I had COVID was rushed to the hospital and they wheeled me into the cashier windown and swiped my card. I was told that that would usually admit me but the hospital was full of COVID patients walked out with a charge for 1425.00

If you leave the USA to go to another country and you don’t have a ticket back then doesn't that mean you immigrated?

That's how most countries see it.

You can save money by paying for two one ways but most countries will not let you in without a return ticket.

The DR doesn't care but Colombia makes you cop a return ticket before boarding.

Don't trip about delays they are expected.

I'll own up to taking Spirt to Jamaica without incident a few times but on time something happened and I didn't have return flight had to scramble to buy a return from another airline.

If you have time and are flexible they kinda have the East Coast hubs to the Carribean on lock.

There is a theory of the 4 hour rule.

The Four hour rule is a trip has to be within 4 hour flight time from the US so that dudes can go down on weekends acting a fool.

Trips longer than that needs vacation time or a flexible schedule so this is out of reach for entry level workers.

Life is a journey though. Hell I can name 10 people I know now that are successful but 15 years ago hitched a ride to Cali or new York with $20 to their name or went to Spain, Philippines, Amsterdam, etc. Meanwhile I can name 50 ppl who've barely traveled out of their state but are always saying "I wanna go to..." "I'd like to visit...."

Why are we acting like the fact that they cant afford to travel is somehow so detrimental to their well being? People seemed to do just fine when traveling wasnt a trend among most americans.
So traveling a necessity all the sudden? Do we need a government program to provide traveling funds for Americans who can’t afford it?
Sure we'd like to explore the world but if you cant afford to.... STAY YOUR ASS AT HOME.
I personally wouldnt give that mofo that $100 to get home just to teach him a lesson. As long as he feels like he has that safety net of reaching out to the public to get some money for his lack of responsibility he'll never learn.
