This almost never happens. In 4 countries meeting hundreds of expats even Pro Black expats in Africa I don't know of one couple that met overseas. Unless they come booéd up and one marriage quickly broke up it's always foriegner and local. Women tend to avoid male expats and I'm not sure why.

Im from USA but prefer to be abroad.
1) it’s cheaper abroad
2) food is healthier, cleaner, and fresher
3) the cultures usually aren’t so cut throat and sensitive.
4) dating is better
5) other places seems a lot safer.
6) I find ppl to be more open minded in my opinion abroad… just me.
7) I do and probably will always keep that American money and job
8) USA is filled with constant toxic programming thru media, opioids, etc
9) USA is so expensive—most ppl are barely making it. A high percentage of ppl don’t even have an extra $500 for an unexpected emergency.
10) I think Us Americans could improve on their savings strategies.

It's the Bahamas. Hamilton Bermuda is the third most expensive place to live in the western hemisphere.
Small Islands and small countries without major resources are gonna be more expensive for food because everything is imported if the population is small the only way they get taxed is by import taxes. In almost any country in the developing world high end electronics are way more expensive which is why people buy stuff overseas and have them bring it to them.

It depends on the house and the location. I know a guy who's building a house in Miches nearby the house and land costs about 22 grand with a grand view of the beach.
