Luckily I married into a strong passport and resident in a country who doesn't rape you in taxes
. After documentary like these I wonder if the US will start cracking down on those with dual citizenship who open accounts under another passport.

I know the laws very well being a professional expat. For taxable income, foreign tax credit of up to 90K. Also foreign banks are not willing to take on American customers due to the Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act if they suspect you are American they may not take you own as a customer which is easier when marrying a foreigner with a strong passport.

if you're a us/dual national the law applies
like you pointed out there is a 90k tax credit and I think if you're playing by the rules you have nothing to worry about
if you're worried about some doomsday scenario money will be worthless anyways
