they should just do it like the rest of the world, pay waiters and waitresses an actual salary so to serve you would just be their job regardless of tip. If you go to europe or asia, you get the best service, all without tipping

No reason to, if you agree to be pimped then you should get pimped. If they don't like it UPS is hiring :ehh:

thats all nice and dandy when you go out a few times.
but there are mad people out there who eat out and they aint dropping 20% every time :usure:

thats just reality and 80% of America.
16% is standard all over.
18% is ONLY standard in NYC and LA. so anything under that and youre a loser.
yes, some people are nice. but other people be saving their money for shyt for themselves (or the next meal) and shyt on their waitress :yeshrug:

I hear ya, but to me, I'm not rich or wealthy but a couple dollars ain't gonna hurt me. Were not talking about $1000 tabs...this is $5...if your just gonna save 5 or 10 bucks then people need to try harder to be something in life cause what your doing currently isn't working out :russ:.

All I know is me, my people, my family all tip 20% :manny:

No tip is "standard."

The entitlement culture in this country is getting out of hand.

Naw breh states adjust wages because you are expected to make tips during a shift. I live in California and the min wage still applies to servers here but I hear in some places you basically make 2 dollars an hour and tips are then expected to fill in that wage gap. Not saying its right but its the way it works.

Really though, what's the problem with y'all tipping? Just the way things work.

That's not how it works when I pay. Take your complaints to your boss.

France has some of the worst service you can ever receive at a restaurant. One of the main things Europeans talk about when they visit the states is how much better the service is here than there. Ive experienced this first hand, heard complaints by people in the military, and spoken to tourists visiting from abroad, so its numerous sources talking about this.

But back to the point, some of yall just need to stay home if you cant abide by the rules of a private business you chose to frequent.

I always tip 20% cause it's easier to do the math in my head.:yeshrug:

I usually do the same. I tip on everything but takeout. I think buddy at the local pizza spot got mad last week when I came to pick up my to-go order with exact change.

yea I feel ya. Me and my wife are regulars at Outback (the only place we love to eat out at) and our bill actually only ranges between $25-$35 and i'll just tip $7-$10 and just keep it moving. I even tip my normal on bad service cause I don't know what the hell that server is going through for that particular day :manny:

I always tip so that my bill + tip is always an even dollar amount.

Like, if my bill were $13.78 for something, I might tip $3.22 just so my total is $17.00. :steviej:

This could be true, but I had good service when I went to France. The best service was in Japan.
