While I am disappointed by LeBron's decision to leave Miami, no one can fault another person for wanting to return home. The last four years have been an incredible run for South Florida, HEAT fans, our organization and for all of the players who were a part of it. LeBron is a fantastic leader, athlete, teammate and person, and we are all sorry to see him go.

Over the last 19yrs, since Micky and I teamed together, The Miami HEAT has always been a championship organization; we’ve won multiple championships and competed for many others. Micky, Erik and I remain committed to doing whatever it takes to win and compete for championships for many years to come. We’ve proven that we can do it and we’ll do it again.

Yeah. All that "you don't run away, you don't leave" shyt, probably pissed Bron off some.
it certainly didnt help

and there have been a lot of reports that Bron wasnt happy with some things about the Miami Heat - I dont think he was fully comfortable with Mickey & Pat

that press conference was ill advised

that press conference was just a horrible idea, in retrospect, it was embarrassing :ld:

im sure it made Bron's decision just a lil easier
I respect Riley even more for it. You can't run. If LeBron didn't like it I'd say he's a little sensitive, you gotta have some guts

At the end of the day Riley knows if they beat the spurs Lebron probably woulda stayed. Another player bounces from a team courtesy of the gawd Timmy

Dwight never wanted to be in Los Angeles in the first place. He ain't the first center who couldn't get along with kobe. Lebron leaving is a matter of being gutless. Comes from not having a dad to raise you. I saw the press conference and wished I was him so I could play for a team run by Riley. Magic Johnson got shivers down his spine talking about how he wishes he could play for him again.

I think Riley should have known that would rub Bron the wrong way. I just watched clips from it and left me feeling a certain way

I mean dude even publicly announced Bron having a daughter :dwillhuh:

i wonder how their relationship was the past couple years

Woj reported back in 2012 that Riley was salty and Bron saying he wouldnt rule out a return to Cleveland
