The locker room is barely holding on. Mac is the real leader of those men not that pipsqueak. I’m praying yall get the 1 seed. Yall will be the weakest one in history :banderas:
You bums are barely going to make the playoffs and will be thumped in the first round.

Niners are just a stallworth of an organization.

Not that there was any doubt in my mind that Rivers was a HOFer (my 2nd fav QB), but I think this run really cements that. A literal grandpa, getting off his couch after 5 years, and picking teams apart really shows you just how great he truly is.

Rivers was really good last night. Did you hear the checks he was calling out? He knew what was coming on defense almost instantly. The arm just isn't there anymore.

On another note, why the hell is CMC rocking a durag :why:

Another week of the Colts playoff odds trending to 0 while listening to "but Rivers played so hard for a grandpa" empty takes
Yeah, these dudes do not know. Bringing in a 44 year old QB for a cute PR story isn’t moving the needle. Even in an ideal situation where the Colts had won last night and the rest of the way, they would more than likely get trounced in the wild card against tougher defenses.

Ballard preaches drafting high character guys, but fields a team who quits when the going gets tough. Dude can’t assemble a roster worth a damn and was extremely fortunate Luck was able to will that 2018 team out of a 1-5 hole before retiring. Can’t draft a QB, can’t build a pass rush despite the hefty investments, got finessed by the Jets of all teams, and can’t win the AFC South. Pack your bags.

It’s an all-time collapse no matter how they slice it. Even prior to the injuries, the team was spiraling. Heads should roll, but complacency may just be fine again.

Yes, it's completely difference success criteria for Colts fans vs causual observers. (Although a lot of Colts fans somehow fall into the second camp anyway):

Colts fans: Wins, Division Titles, Playoff Wins, Contention Window, Solid Picks, Trades
Everyone Else: Man I miss the old days, it's so refreshing seeing Rivers play his heart out! It's not Rivers fault! :mjcry:

The crazy thing is, even Rivers doesn't agree with that take:

"There's no prize for losing," Rivers said, via The Associated Press. "I know this locker room is hurting again. I've been part of it for a short time, two losses, and I know it's been a long slide now for over a month. I know that's tough because I've been part of those slides. We've just got to find a way to dig deep and find a way to win a football game."

"The name of the game is winning and that's what they did. They got it done," Rivers said. "But I do feel like offensively we're going to move the ball. But our job is to score more points than the other team, whatever that (number) may be. Last week, it was 18 and we didn't get it done. This week, it would have been 41 if I hadn't thrown the pick-six and we didn't get it done."

To his credit you should not be expected to score 42. But you absolutely have to match 18.

The loss dropped Indy to 8-7, losers of five straight and six of their past seven games. Steichen's club saw its slim playoff hopes all but wash away. Next Gen Stats gives Indy a 4% chance to make the postseason. They'd become the sixth team since 1970 to start 7-1 and ultimately miss the playoffs, per NFL Research.
