Patrick Mahomes career is more in line with Brett Favre's than Tom Brady's...

The think pieces, my god, i knew they were coming

We all knew. We had to know:snoop:

You already got idiots all over TV, press and twitter saying they gonna hold this over Mahommes head for the rest of his career and he can never be GOAT no matter what he does now.

They always do it. They have to do it.

The Eagles Oline was practically begging the coaching staff to bench Wentz because he was making their job so difficult.

Don't Lie. Jason Kelce, leader of the line, gave public support for Wentz all season. Half the games the line was made up of practice squad guys so why would they speak on Wentz period. Eagles had almost as many unique offensive line lineups as games last year and won a superbowl missing two starters on the line. :unimpressed:. They actually replaced one of the injured players with one of the bums who played on the chiefs line last night (wienewski). RPO and a run game carried them even with one whole side of the line being trash
chiefs had two weeks to prepare, had two prime dink and dunk targets in kelce and hill and still couldn't deal with a 4 man rush. Mahomes looked horrible under duress

Very similar to Favre

Both QBs with ties to the West Coast coaching tree and offensive system. Andy Reid is Mahome's HC and was Favre's QB coach

Cowboys & Niners owned the NFC (Favre)
Pats owned the AFC (Mahomes)

both won SB at a young age

both had unusual arm talent

both were crowned by the media

both went to B2B SBs and they were favored in the 2nd SB...both lost to all time great QBs

Very similar career trajectory

Good points

:ohhh:

Favre tanked about 4-5 teams Super Bowl championship aspirations.

The 2007 and 2009 Teams in particular

Elway was dragging teams to the super bowl who had no chance to beat the juggernaut NFC teams with Vance Johnson and Ricky Nattiel as his wrs

He’d be unfair with Tyreek and Kelce

Elway had Lebron levels of talent at QB, just like Favre did. Mahomes isn't anything the league hasn't ever seen before,he is talented though albeit flawed. Once that rookie contract is up we'll really find out what Mahomes is about.

Pat will be just fine. Took his lumps like most QBs do. But I will say the same thing I told Rodgers fans when he was the "most talented thrower of the football" people had ever seen. That is a fickle title. Cause as soon as the next guy comes in, he doesn't even have to accomplish anything to take your throne. Afew cool throws and it's over. Took 2 years for Mahomes to take that title from Aaron. shyt, if Trevor Lawrence comes in with even a sliver of success look have fast he'll be crowned.

But when you're the legit GOAT with an untouched resume, it takes a lifetime of continued success to even come close to being a threat. Pat has had a good start and a long career ahead. This isn't gonna be his last super bowl

I don't even watch the NFL. But these hot takes are dumb. This site loves to do them.

Second anyone who has followed andy reid knows two things. In big games he will abandon the run and sell his QB short. And two most of his career he doesn't even put audibles in his offense for his QBs outside of flipping a play. This came up for many years when Mcnabb, Kolb and vick were QBs and how Reid was basically selling them out.

Who can forget the comment on twitter (which he quickly deleted) years ago where questlove said reid was up to some "funny shyt" from what he heard from mcnabb's brother and how the offense was called.

your comparison is ass cheeks and so are most of the posts in this thread trying to write Mahomes off like he’s on a worse trajectory than Favre or Brady or whoever.

Mahomes is ahead of Favres trajectory.

Favre - drafted 91. Won super bowl in 97.
Mahomes - drafted 2017. Won the super bowl in 2019.

Get some graphing paper or an excel sheet and draw the lines. And do better next time.

He's all of these guys in modern form----->Marino, Favre, Manning, Rodgers...

He's more them than Montana or Brady...

I missed this thread, bout to peruse it abd come back to this, but the OP is not ridiculous, and i already know there's about to be some insane shytting on Favre in here as if in the 90s he wasnt the most dynamic passer who won 3 MVPs in a row and was the face of The League. Lmao...I'll be back and I'm sure I'll have to defend Favre...
