PATRICK WILLIAMS = IS this a real ramp up gem or tyrus thomas bulls draft day style bust

I'd give the benefit of the doubt. The new bulls executive VP has been drafting some really nice talent with low picks back in Denver. Maybe Bulls see something special in Williams, I heard Spurs wanted him. However they should have done some trades to move lower and get additional pick. No one was going to draft him in top 5 or maybe even top 10, outside of Bulls.

The guy in Denver lucked up with his picks and still never set that shyt up right. As real talk,... Denver should have seized the day s d won the Nba title with correct aptitude to roster management and minutes. I do not think he is that adept at drafting and just think he lucked up because talent fell in his lap.
Williams is a second round pick like jimmy butler was at best.
Regardless of his upside.
The bulls goofie as fukk for this pick. Yet it makes for a good long term thread and is intriguing for the time being.

I think this draft is one of the biggest crapshoots in a while (I suppose we were due because the last few drafts have been pretty decent). Not a single player is a sure fire prospect and they all have bust potential. Even worse they won’t have a summer league, training camps, preseason, etc. And then a shortened 72 game season.

Most of his runs are in big guard academy. And he gets lost in the shuffle as far as being mentioned but he's in a couple of those videos in the summer runs. You catch glimpses of him blocking shots and shyt.

I saw him in someone else's vids playing pick up and that is how i got the energy to write this thread.
Visually you can see that scary grant hill catch you off guard shyt possibly being a reality from dude.
He could bust tho....yet, even i am intrigued.

Yeah he and pritchard caught my eye. I was watching those big guard university videos cause of rui and bonga cause I'm a wizards fan.

I saw someone random I didn't recognize who looked like they belong and wondered who it was. Later remembered the hair and was like oh that's that dude. After he got drafted that's when they are posting videos featuring him but he's somewhere in the cut in other videos.

Watch the above video of Deni though in the flow of the game and see if you would have liked him better. Opportunity cost

I'm glad there's already runs of him playing against pros and looking like he belongs. There's not a lot of that in this class.

Melo also got some against trae young and other pros. You could see his size and skill. He was filled out for being so young. He Wasn't dominating but was comfortable playing little bro. It might have been the ucla runs.

I'm still in my mind questioning if he's better than Deni aside from the fact Melo is a primary ball handler and Deni is secondary.

I think denver scouting was pretty good where they knew what they can do with a lower pick, unlike many teams. The problem is for sure Mike Malone, he can't coach a team like that and I feel like Nuggets ownership are sabotaging MPJ and Bol Bol as both have injury history and feels like are very cheap on paying them more money

I’m from NC and a Spurs fam so I been checking for him since high school and was hoping he would fall to the Spurs in the draft. He has the potential to be best player in the draft. I wish we could have given him a promise early on then his him from everybody else.

He’s got a lotta dog in him. From West Charlotte. Played public school ball. Comes from a good family. Led his overmatched team to the state championship game and was unstoppable even though his team caught the L. I’m already a fan. He ain’t had everybody hyping him up all his life either. Even though I thought he was the best player in the state in high school his senior year, they had a couple players ranked higher.

I gotta feeling MJ gon regret not taking this kid that was right in his backyard too..

Yeah, I thought Deni wouldn't make a difference on this team, now or later. I feel he would've just been an interchangeable piece. With this guy we got a guy who isn't as skilled as Deni but I feel will be able to contribute much more down the line.

On the flipside, Deni may really thrive in Washington especially if they ditch Wall, but he wouldn't thrive like that in Chicago.
