All Kobe does is defend Pau. He may tell him to man up, but he defends Pau more than I've ever seen Kobe defend another player.
And as fans, we don't care. We love Pau for what he did for us, but to be entirely truthful, it's been a gradual decline. Every year he's started off slow. Last year it was supposedly because he was hurt over the trade, this year it's his knee. If we're seeing a guy get paid $20m and put up subpar numbers, of course we'll be pissed.
Now if he plays like vintage Pau, none of this talk even happens. And since he's hurt, I'll rather him sit, and then we'll see what he gives us when he's closer to 100%.

But I still stand by what I said overallThe only thing that has changed with Pau is the Lakers decided to feature Bynum as the second option last year and had Pau out on the perimeter trying to mimic Dirk. He can shoot the jumper but it doesn't need to be his main weapon. He's a beast on the low block with one of the best low post games in the league. I know that he can still be an 18 and 9/10 type player. I just think his confidence is shot with the Lakers and it's time that they move on. He got two rings out the deal so nothing wrong with starting fresh with another squad.

That lakers team improved greatly that season. Bynum finally started getting good(averaging 13 and 10) our bench was cold af. We had some crazy ass 3 point shooters
