Yea, Kawhi gets shytted on for game 7 (as he should, he was atrocious) but he was also arguably if not soundly the best player in the playoffs through the first 11 games, heading into games 6 and 7. At the time neck and neck with AD in EFF. He'll get shat on the way Steph did after 2016 gm 7 blowing a 3-1 lead.
PG13, however, despite having as Mark Jackson kept sayin all year: "the ability to be the best player in any series", just looked fragile and inadequate from jump. The whole point of a 1a/1b "superstar" duo is either guy can look like the best player or MVP of the team, and PG failed miserably.

In terms of who is most to blame for LAC's playoff embarrassment, it's Paul George. For the most part, Kawhi showed up and balled out day in and day out. PG did not. He had way more bad games than good ones! Lol.

Him being out there during the collapses and forcing the trade for PG isn't narrative or media stuff. And it's not like PG not showing up in the playoffs is a new or unexpected phenomenon. Beyond that, they are both known as defensive stoppers and teams were getting what they wanted when they wanted in crunch time.

I love piling on Catfish P but peg leg is really skating off mostly scot free here. His leadership abilities should’ve been questioned after a collapse this epic. Or how for all the comparisons to all time greats he’s not nearly the playmaker they were. Mute Spreewell don’t be catching no smoke compared to the rest of the team.
I suppose it’s assumed it was his team’s fault but it just showed the absurdity and wish washy ways of the NBA media. Just a few weeks ago they were proverbial favorites and now peg leg is playing with low BBIQ players.
