So you think the Knicks would have made the playoffs if you just swapped out Melo for George, huh?
You're implying the Pacers wouldn't be in the ECF with Melo instead of George, as well.
George has never been asked to carry a team; Carmelo is asked to do that every year. Quite a difference in roles.
Who knows. Everyone thought the Knicks would have made it to the ECF last year and they lost to the Pacers in the second round with home court advantage. In 2010 everyone thought the Nuggets were going to challenge the Lakers in the WCF and they lost to the Jazz in the first round with home court. Who knows how the playoffs would shake up.
I do know I don't trust Melo. He has a history of coming up short in the playoffs.
