This new CBA is crazy. Teams like Indy are forced to over pay for potential because of Georges accomplishments(years in league, all star games etc.)

George is nice but is he worth 90 mil? Hell no. But Indys hand was forced here. Not much they could do. Him and Hibbert are the corner stones of their franchise they gotta pay them.

Players are going to be way overpaid because of this. Theres no middle ground anymore. If youre good, youre getting a max deal just because your eligible for one.

Their hand wasn't forced, they could've waited until next summer and let a team give him a qualifying offer and matched it. Let the market set the retail price, instead they set the retail and wholesale price as high as they could.
