You don't pay for past production, you pay for what he CAN become.
Will he ever be a superstar puttin' up 25 ppg a game?Maybe not,but he's not some scrub ass nikka everyone is making him out to be.The nikka is 23 and is already one of the better TWO way players in the league and is a PERFECT fit in Indy.He does more to contribute to W's than a lot of the nikkas ppl on this board stan..If he averaged 5 more ppg nikkas wouldn't blink an eye at this contract.

With that said all Pacers fans can eat a dikk .

:ehh::yeshrug:can't be mad at that sentiment..bulls fan?

They've both gone to a conference championship breh. What the fukk are you talking about? :dahell: Ol George Paul win a championship on NBA2k14 or some shyt that we don't know about? :russ:

So we paying role players that have never averaged 20 points in a season 90 million now? Your weak Matt Ryan comparison aside, can you answer my question breh/brehette? :lupe:

@G-Zeus :laff: @ beating the Knicks warranting a damn near max deal. Beating Fat Boy ain't shyt :heh:
... it means going to the next round... aint play offs about go to the next round :wtf:

He was going to be a restricted free agent and the reason he's getting $90 million over 5 is due to the new CBA where guys off their rookie deals get paid percentages more based on All Star appearances or winning MVP (D Rose)
A player still on his rookie scale contract can collect the 30% max on his next deal if he meets one of the following criteria:

-- Named to the All-NBA first, second or third team two times.

-- Voted an All-Star starter two times.

-- Named regular-season MVP one time.

George wasn't eligible for that

Very few places are more illogical and hypocritical when it comes to NBA contracts than The Coli

get the fukk out of here. I bet you were one of the chumps saying heat in 4, i should go check the game thread and quote you

Pacers were 1 game away from the finals. Homecourt advantage + Vogels Game 1 fukk up saved the Heat. Get out of here with that toying with them bullshyt. Pacers starters outscored the Heat that series, our lack of bench doomed us. Guess what this year we have a better bench and Dwade ain't getting any younger. Pacers should be the favorites in the East

the pacers only hope is if miami is injured. if wade is healthy, and oden gives them 15 minutes a game its over. hibbert, granger, and george are three of the most overrated players in the league, though george does have star potential. the pacers would not have even beat the knicks if JR smith didnt all of the sudden fall off the face of the earth after a great regular season.

all i saw in that post was if, if, if, and if

I prefer to deal with what actually happened. Wade is injury prone and on the decline, Pacers starters outplayed and outscored Heats starters, Knicks are a non factor, and expecting oden to be healthy....good luck with that breh :heh:

ATL…overly
Paul George, LED his team, to MULTIPLE series victories, and was 1 GAME from the finals

Matt Ryan, has won, ONE PLAYOFF GAME, his ENTIRE CAREER.. He's the definition of overrated

Paul George is a Top 5 defensive player, and almost a Top 10 offensive player, Matt Ryan isnt in the top tier of anything QB related besides getting his team bounced in the first round.

Any contract Paul George got that was less than Lebrons is a steal, because thats the echelon he's in now.

I would have thought you learned to appreciate this as he was BOUNCING your teams ass out the playoffs

The delusion in this post :banderas:

George Paul a top 5 defensive player? :wtf:
Top 10 level offensive player? :rudy:

What are you basing this off of? A few playoff games?

90 million for 17, 8 & 4 (all of which are career highs)? It's a bad deal for a Scottie Pippen who you trying to make believe is gonna be an MJ. But keep playing ya self breh/brehette, George Paul, a ONE time All Star is worth 90 million. Indy overpaid b/c they were scared they were gonna lose him, but don't try to spin this like its a good market deal

Role players EATING in Indy brehs :win:

My Pops Forever RIP
then how he is getting $90 million? shouldn't he be getting what Wall got?
He is. The $90 mil becomes guaranteed once he makes another all-star team or NBA 1/2/3 team. People are just writing it as $90 because it's assumed he'll reach one of those incentives this year.

The actual amount is more like $78

ndy overpaid b/c they were scared they were gonna lose him, but don't try to spin this like its a good market deal

He was never going anywhere :what:

This is NOT an overpa--- nevermind. Y'all don't get it at all.

Let's just boil it down to the deeper aspect of it: there aren't as many really good NBA players as this board likes to pretend there are, so the few that are around, even if they're not LeBron James good, will get rewarded by a team that views them as their best player going forward.

There still hasn't been a single reasonable alternative to NOT paying Paul George posted yet.
