I'm a casual. Explain to me how having PG would be more beneficial for the cavs in winning a championship than having Love :ld:
He's better than Love at everything but rebounding

He's miles better than anyone on the Warriors not named KD or Curry

Cavs would be a lock for the title if they get PG

Yeah, you've exactly nailed the issue. Cavs need two-way players, not 1-dimensional guys.

My all-in solution is to use Love to get Butler and Kyrie to get PG13, and force them to throw Teague in there too (maybe giving up Shump and JR in the trades as well). That leaves you with:

Teague
Butler
PG13
Lebron
TT

That's a starting lineup that could compete. PG13 as a 2nd option, Butler as a 3rd option, Teague as a 4th option....that's plenty of firepower for a contender. And on defense they'd be lights-out, able to guard anything and switch everyone (except big centers).

Ask for Rondo too in the Bulls trade, and you have:

Rondo
Felder or Liggins
Korver
Frye or Derrick Williams
Tavares

Which is a much more balanced 2nd unit than they had this year, because you have someone who can actually run an offense for the shooters without Lebron on the floor, along with enough defenders to not fall apart on that end. Put Frye at center with Korver and Felder in for an offense-heavy lineup, or Liggins/D-Will in at the same time for a defense-heavy lineup, or any balance you want.
Lmao at the Bulls trading Jimmy to the Cavs :pachaha:

Lakers trading for PG screams Melo 2.0. Even if they can somehow move Clarkson; Deng, and Mosgov, that's room for one more max guy and maybe a ok role player, that's not enough depth to win.
Exactly. There is no reason for the Lakers to trade for him when they get him a year later for nothing. Plus with him they still not beating warriors, Spurs or even rockets.
Why not wait a year ? The fan base seems ok with the young stars and the direction

The minute this shyt leaked DLo became untouchable. Clark/Randle/28 is by far the best offer out there if you care about young talent

Are you retarded? Why would you give up the best young player on the team?

If I'm the Lakers, I give the Pacers Ingram and/or Russell for George. Randle is more valuable. And obviously Lonzo Ball is a must have.

PG - Ball
SG - Clarkson
SF - George
PF - Randle
C - Zubac

That lineup makes the playoffs next year.

Russell becomes expendable with Ball coming in. And Ingram doesn't look like a future star. Both are tradeable.

As long as the Lakers don't give up anything more than Russell/Ingram/pick #28, they're fine. Those are worth getting Paul George at 27 years old.

I wouldn't even want Kevin love as a second option(barely even a third), let alone a first option.

They should try and see if they can get either McCollum or Lillard. I hope they fukk up some young squads core. Trade him for tho maker/Parker
