I took the time to listen to his thesis but was disappointed about him saying some of his Celtic teammates that played with him were passed their prime. Past his prime Ray Allen took his talents to South Beach and won another ring.

Pierce could turn his scoring up though, was a better shooter, was a more complete scorer...

When you look at the results though, what did Wade do in his career without Shaq abd Bron? Tell me where the results say. The skillset is never as important as tge results, bunch of guys have a strong bag, where the fukk has that gotten Tin Man Towns?

Pierce is basically Wade's career without GOAT10 teammates. Wade was the better player but this topic is the perfect incapsulation of how overrated Wade is, this nikka never did anything of not, aside from a scoring title, when he didn't have GOAT10 guys with him...

Pierce wasn't THAT guy. It's telling in this thread that none of these dudes remember what Pierce's career looked like before 08:

He was never, not even close to being mentioned in the top 10 of the league. Never. He wasn't seen as a franchise player after a few nasty seasons and horrible playoff performances. Let's not even bring up the Antoine Walker years.

Meanwhile Wade was damn near the face of the league. He was #1 in MVP voting in 07 before he went down. He tore apart the 04 Pacers and 05 Pistons, 2 of the best defensive teams of all time - in the playoffs. Arguably wins a ring in 05, at minimum goes to the Finals in his sophomore year.

Teams up with LeBron in 2011, and likely wins FMVP if he doesn't get hurt or LeBron plays to his normal level.

At no point during the 03-07 years did anyone believe Paul Pierce was close to Wade's level. The year he finally gets recognition is 07-08 and he wasn't even the best player, it was KG. But Pierce talks like he was carrying bums to great heights.

Meanwhile, look at what Wade had in Miami in 2010 vs the Boston big 3. He fukking TORCHED them with straight bums. Paul Pierce couldn't do shyt and he had KG, Allen, and Rondo. So he can't talk because even when he had the better team Wade clapped him up.

He is levels, and I mean like 4 or 5 levels, below Wade's peak. That 1 chip boosted his career because Pierce was almost a forgotten good player. nikkas letting that chip rewrite the narrative but I remember and PP was nowhere ever in the conversation of top 10 in the league.

heat went life and death against da celtics in 2012 when Bron built da super team. i recall a semi washed up paul pierce hitting a 3 right in his mouth and forcing Lebron to finally become a man in game 6 and moving forward.

Wade was getting his knee drained every other game, Bosh essentially missed the first 5 games of that series, 2 of their 3 bench guys on the perimeter were borderline useless on offense for most of the playoffs (Battier got hot in the finals & obviously Miller had game 5) & their center rotation was Joel Anthony/Ronnie Turiaf. That’s a super team? They had 2 guys who warranted any defensive attention for most of the playoffs & 1 of them played the whole postseason on a knee that needed surgery. Only reason Boston even made it past the semis is because happened. Also in that game 6 Pierce had 9 points on 18 shots . In fact Wade utterly torched Boston both of the previous 2 postseasons, getting 33 per game on 56% shooting in 2010 & 30 a night on 53% in 2011.
