Paul pierce ruined his legacy when he left Boston. Pierce, with healthy rondo (maybe k love), Bradley, etc... and their recent draft picks from the past 2 years would've put them just as good as wiz this year or better.

I agree with the second part. I think the Celtics would have been straight if PP and KG stuck around. His legacy is cemented though especially with the Celtics.

Contract year only player ariza? Worse offensively (only a more explosive finisher) better defensively. Then again, even though pierce clearly isnt what he used to be, hes still servicable on defense with rim protectors and athletic guards surrounding him. Plus its already filed and understood that hes reputable as a big shot maker and can catch fire when needed most. He doesnt need athleticism to find his own shot and score...draws a shyt ton of free throws also. I personally think its an upgrade especially contract difference included.
