I wish more of the songs on this album sounded like Swanging in The Rain. The only other song i liked is Crumble The Satellite. Devin The Dude owned that.

They just didn't click with me. They weren't memorable as far as that feeling you get when Swanging came on . I wasnt impressed with the beat selection and the hooks. Swanging will be on my playlist for a long time. I've been playing that since he first released it and i grabbed the album expecting more of that. Satellites may not last long as Swanging but the beat and Devin's verse stood out. Maybe ill give the project another listen. Something might stick but i've played it like 3 times and Swaning and Satellites are the two songs that i like the most.

Other than everyone in Houston hating on each other, and trying to bring each other down, another reason why H-Town rap fell off so hard is because everybody in Houston is trying to rap like ATL nikkas now.
This SMH. That's why I wasn't feeling his mixtape a couple years ago (2012??), cause GL & Don's beats gradually started sounding like generic trap/ATL stuff. Beatking even mentioned something similar here
