Paula Patton has moved to formalize her split from "Blurred Lines" crooner Robin Thicke, and there's little about it that's blurred. The actress-model filed the divorce petition last Friday in Los Angeles Superior Court, citing irreconcilable differences, according to court documents obtained by the Los Angeles Times.
Patton, 38, who has been married to Thicke for nine years, is asking for joint physical and legal custody of their 4-year-old son, Julian Fuego Thicke.
The "pro per" filing -- that's shorthand for the legal term meaning she's representing herself -- formalizes the couple's separation, listed as happening Feb. 21, 2014. The pair announced their plans to go their separate ways just days after that date.
As of Thursday morning, Thicke had yet to file his response to the petition. Patton's indicated that their division of property would be decided at a later date.
