To be fair....I think the legendary generalbreh Hannibal used elephants as part of warfare but obviously they trained those mugs.
This broad just wanted a pic for her IG.
Hannibal used a breed of elephants called the North African forest elephant. This elephant species was much smaller than its bush elephant cousins, on average about 2.5m at the shoulder. It was also more docile and easier to train than the bush elephant. Hannibal's elephants were a valuable asset in his army, and they played a key role in his victory at the Battle of Cannae. However, many of the elephants died during the crossing of the Alps, and those that survived were not as effective in later battles.
The North African forest elephant is now extinct, but it is thought to have lived in North Africa from Morocco to Ethiopia. It was a smaller, more slender elephant than the African bush elephant, with a more rounded head and smaller ears. The North African forest elephant was also more heavily forested than the bush elephant, and it is thought that this habitat change may have contributed to its extinction.
